I haven't updated any of my stories in forever and I'm truly very sorry. I did update To all the wizard's I have loved before recently. And you know what just happened that is awful beyond words I wrote half of this chapter and stupid Wattpad didn't save it!!!! So I'm sorry if it took forever but it wasn't completely my fault and I could barely remember what I originally wrote so yeah.. enjoy! I love you all strange and unusual humans 💞
______________Dean felt extreme guilt.
He hadn't broken things off with Ginny.
He was beginning to regret dating the young witch at all.
He loved her, that much was true.
But Dean couldn't give her what she wanted in their relationship.
Dean was in love with Seamus and that was final.
He wasn't ashamed of the blue eyed wizard in the slightest bit. He wanted to openly express their relationship. He wanted to be able to hold Seamus's hand and whisper sweet nothings into his ear when they traveled class to class.
And most of all, Dean wanted to be with him always, without judgement from his classmates.
But he couldn't have what he wanted, not until he told Ginny.
Attempting to keep his head high, Dean followed Ginny's retreating figure through the Gryffindor portrait hole.
"Ginny-" Dean started and then he felt it.
The hard push of a soft, silky material. And then it was gone.
And Ginny was yelling at him.
"YOU GIT! WAS I IN YOUR WAY? WHAT THE BLOODY HELL HAS YOU OFF? NO MATTER, GO SNOG SOMEONE ELSE. WE'RE OVER!"
Before Dean had a chance to reply, Ginny had already swept away and up to the girls dormitories.
Dean owled Ginny that night begging for her to meet him early in the classroom the next morning.
_______
"Ginny?"
Small footsteps sounded throughout the abandoned classroom.
Dean schooled his expression to display somberness.
"You have 3 minutes, open your trap and explain what you wish to, but keep in your daft mind that there is no going back to us."
Ginny sounded strained but looked more refreshed and happy than Dean had ever seen her.
He nodded.
"Firstly, I know who walked in on us, Dean held up one dark hand to silence her opening mouth,"it was Seamus. And... well, I reckon I may be bisexual. I fancied you very much, Ginny. But, I-I love Seamus."
Ginny nodded as if she understood. There was a shocking amount of empathy in her eyes.
Dean wondered who she had come to fancy of the same sex.
"Blimey, I-"
Dean silenced her once again with a small wave of his hand.
"Don't. You're quite alright."
Ginny nodded.
It was a queer sight to behold. Merely two ex-lovers, so very happy to be free of one another, of the truth neither one could bring themselves to share.
It might have been awkward, but there was a relief in the silence they shared in that moment, a sense of peace.
A sense of relief that neither one could find any room to judge the other.
