(I skippied a lil bit! oops!)
Tonight. Tonight was the last night. The last night before going into the arena and the last night I'd ever spend with Tobias.
The clock seemed to mock me. But finally it was time to meet Tobias in his room, where I'd stay the night and hopefully sneak away to breakfast in the morning.
The door creaked and I stepped out into the dim hallway, head down and heading down the hall, hoping not to get caught. When I reached the room I tapped lightly and the door immedietly swung half open, like he was waiting to open it for me. He looked sort of pale; nervous. I figured it was because of The Arena tomorrow morning.
"Hey-.." His voice was low as he pulled me inside, closing the door. "Hello." I said quietly being pulled into a hug. My arms wrapped slowly around my love, grup tightening, and eyes watering. I knew this would be one of the last times I'd ever hug him again. Drawing in a short breath, I choked on the air I pulled into my lungs.
Tobias pulled back slightly, and frowned, his eyebrows furrowing. "Don't cry my love." He whispered to me, wiping my eyes with his thumb. "I have something for you."
"I dont-.." I began, but Four shook his head, signalling me to stop. "Dance with me." He said quietly into my ear, leaning to his right, and pressing play on an old radio, which began to emit slow classical music, maybe something from was used to be France.
"Fou-.." I was cut off by him. "Shh-.." He brought me close, his hands on my hips, swaying me back and forth. We began dancing in the small space inside the room. Tobias twirled me, and spun me around and around, emmitting laughter from the both of us.
"Beatrice." Four hummed, to which I cringed. "It's Tris." I corrected him. Tobias did nothing but roll his eyes and chuckle. His movements slowed, and he came to a stop. "Tris Prior." he said correctly, cupping the side of my face with his palm. "Tomorrow is the day." He said, his voice pained. My breath caught in my throat. "I managed a few words with Cato, before we'd left. I think-....I-....might-..." He paused. "Theres a possibility we could get out-...together." He said slowly. "Theres no promise here." Four added.
"But I want you to promise me something." Tobias said, his eyes staring into mine.
"Anything."
"If we both get out alive-..." He looked pale, yet his eyes never left mine.
"Marry me."
