Third person POV: The last day of school

Mabel awoke the next morning to her loud, annoying alarm on the nightstand. She groaned as she swung her hand on the phone, clicking the snooze button. "Just a few more minutes..." she murmured softly as she dozed off again.

This wasn't the first time she hit snooze, lately Mabel felt like she couldn't sleep. Her mind would feel to awake or she would just have nightmares that she could never remember. It wasn't everyday, more like every other day, today was one of those days. A couple minutes won't hurt anyway, least... she kept telling herself that every time she hit snooze

Dipper was getting dressed in his room. The two, shortly before they started high school, got separate rooms. Not because of a silly competition this time though, or because of annoying sleepovers. Since both of them were a teenager, their parents just thought it was time for them to have their own privacy. They were still just as close as they were when they were 12.

After waking up 30 minutes ago, Dipper threw on a pair of dark jeans and a gray shirt. And no, he wasn't being 'emo' or anything. He just keeps forgetting to do laundry and this was the only pair of clothes he had left. It was probably too hot for jeans, but he went with it anyway and put his notebook and textbook in his bag. He stayed up somewhat late yesterday, finishing his extra credit science paper on the properties of gravity. Even though it was the last day of school, his teachers enjoyed his papers and often gave him extra work. He was in the science academy, taking chemistry and physics, which he loved. He wrapped his bag around his shoulder as he left his room, walking across the hall to Mabel's room, he lightly knocked it. "Mabel? You almost ready?" He asked lightly as the two normally ate breakfast together before they walked to school.

Silence. No answer.

Dipper sighed. He noticed she had been oversleeping lately. He didn't know if it was just because of the horror movies they sometimes watched secretively, or if maybe she was just having an active mind. He wouldn't be surprised. Despite being in high school, he noticed his sister hasn't changed at all. She was still imaginative, bright and bubbly. It was refreshing to him though. He hasn't changed either, he was still a 'nerd,' and stayed his curious self.

He opened the door, the twins never locked their doors so they can always come in as they please. Maybe to surprise or scare the other as well. Of course, they always knocked before they entered so they didn't walk in on each other changing. Although if they were changing, it would always be locked anyway.

He noticed the shades closed, the room itself dark as Mabel was curled up under the covers asleep. He rolled his eyes as he went over to the shades and pulled them up, revealing the shining sun into the room. "Wake up!" He yelled as he pulled the covers off of her. "Mabel! You're going to make us late again and I'm not having that on my record..." Dipper pressed sternly as he yanked her sitting up.
