Chapter Two: Two Becomes One

Within 5 minutes, Mabel and Dipper arrive at school, as they were both running, right when the clock hits 7:50. They both dashed into homeroom. They both had homeroom, english, history, gym, health, and lunch together, for Dipper was in two science classes and in an advanced math class, and took some other extra classes that Mabel wasn't interested in though Mabel didn't care and was just grateful that they had some classes together.

They managed to make it as the bell rang. Talk about being lucky.

The end of the day:

Mabel was at her locker, taking some stuff out and shoving it into her backpack. Let's just say she waited till the last minute to do it. "Well! Goodbye silly rusted locker with gum on the top..." she giggled as she lightly put a sticker on it, just to mark her locker. She did it with her last locker too, even though she probably wasn't supposed to. When she finished, she wrapped her bag around her shoulder then started over to Dippers locker, which was on the other side of the building.

She walked with a bright smile on her face as she wondered what Dipper's plans were, though she had a feeling she knew. Science camp was starting this summer and she wouldn't be surprised if Dipper had already signed up, but why didn't he tell her about it? Even if they weren't going to Gravity Falls, she would still want to know.

Dipper was putting the last textbook in his bag. He left most of his textbooks for science in his locker, mostly because he worked in science class, even on the last day of school. He was way more interested in science then Mabel. On the first day of school Mabel has actually complained about science.

"Science says unicorns don't exist but guess what! We saw it... Science is no match for Gravity Falls," she had said proudly, showing she didn't care much about science. He didn't blame her, everything science said was impossible was, in fact, possible, but Dipper still loved science and was fascinated with the different scientific discoveries being made.

He was sure that he wanted to be a scientist after high school. His two friends walked over to him, making him smile. One was named Liam, who had slick black hair and light eyes. Another was named Jae. Jae was Korean and had a longer and different name (Jae-Hyun, but teachers kept pronouncing it wrong so he just called himself Jae, which was a little funny as Dipper understood what it felt like to be called the wrong name for the rest of your life. Jae has black glasses and dark eyes. He was the tallest out of the three, though they were all the same age.

"Mason! Hey," Liam waves as he leaned against the locker next to Dippers with his shoulder. Liam was the humerus guy, but was actually really smart. He reminded Dipper of Mabel at times, besides obvious differences. They also called him by his real name, Mason. He was both thankful for that, yet a little uncomfortable since it took some getting used to. After all, the only ones who called him Mason were his parents. Heck, even they're teachers called him Dipper as a nickname since they're were two Mason's in the school. Either way, Dipper was happy he had two friends in this school. They were the only ones he had, but that was more than he had in middle school.

People in his last school, middle school, were always making jokes about his birthmark on his forehead, calling him 'Little Dipper.' In High school, despite many people thinking he was awkward and weird, he managed to make two friends in his science class that shared the same interests, and didn't call him names. Mabel... well, she wasn't so lucky. She's super kind, bold and bright. But she was 'too' much for many people in high school. People were nice to her, but she didn't have any real friends, not like Liam and Jae were go Dipper. He felt bad about it, but every time he brought it up she would change the subject, and he guessed he couldn't blame her.
