We stood outside the control room of the Triskelion, in my hand I held an antenna rod and I pointed it towards the satellite dish through the window. I clicked a button that sent radio waves to the ear pieces of the SHIELD workers inside, thus creating a painful ringing.
We heard some cries from inside the room and Steve stood in front of the door.
"Must be the dish." A worker said from inside.
"I'll check it out," a second worker said.
We waited for a moment before the door opened, revealing us standing there. Maria and Sam pointed their guns and Steve stepped up in front of the worker while I put the antenna away.
"Excuse us." Steve said.
The worker put his hands up and stepped to the side. We walked into the room and the workers stared at us. I looked at a man sitting at a computer and jerked my head to the side.
"Move." I ordered.
He stood up, allowing me to sit down at the key board and begin hacking into the speaker system. I pulled a microphone over and Steve stood next to me.
"It's all you, Steve." I tapped the mic and Steve leaned down.
"Attention, all SHIELD agents. This is Steve Rogers." Steve spoke. "You've heard a lot about me over the last few days, some of you were even ordered to hunt me down. But I think it's time you know the truth." Steve glanced at me and I nodded, encouraging him to move on. "SHIELD is not what we thought it was, it's been taken over by HYDRA. Alexander Pierce is their leader. The STRIKE and Insight crew are HYDRA as well. I don't know how many more, but I know they're in the building. They could be standing right next to you." As he said that, a couple of the workers glanced at each other. "They almost have what they want: absolute control. They shot Nick Fury and it won't end there. If you launch those Helicarriers today, HYDRA will be able to kill anyone that stands in their way, unless we stop them. I know I'm asking a lot, but the price of freedom is high, it always has been, and it's a price I'm willing to pay. And if I'm the only one, then so be it. But I'm willing to bet I'm not." He finished and I patted his arm.
Sam approached Steve with a smirk. "Did you write that down first or was it off the top of your head?"
We waited for a moment before there was a deep rumble from below the building. I got out of my seat to look out the window and below us in the basin, concrete flooring began to rise out of the water and open up. I looked back at the screens to see security camera's showing the Insight bay and the Helicarriers rising off the ground.
"They're initiating launch." Maria said.
"Let's go. Maria, you stay here." Steve ordered and Sam and I followed him towards the launch pads.
We ran outside and towards the Hellicarriers, hoping that we could get to them on time.
"Hey, Cap," Sam began. "How do we know the good guys from the bad guys?"
"If they're shooting at you, they're bad." Steve stated the obvious.
Sam activated his wings and flew off to a Helicarrier, while Steve and I jumped down to a a second Helicarrier. As I was in the air I tapped my left heel activating the skates and created a ramp of ice to the ground. Steve had already landed and soldiers began shooting at him. There's the bad guys. I flicked my hand and three icicles shot out, impaling soldiers. I reached the ground and caught up with Steve before retracting the skates and running through a maze of cargo crates and fighting off soldiers. I took a grenade off a soldier's jacket and tossed it to Steve, who threw it at a group of oncoming soldiers.
