Dear Henry,
It's been a lifetime since we've worked on cartoons together. 30 years really fly by, don't they?
If you're back in town, why don't you come back to the old workshop? There's something I need to show you.
Your best pal,
Joey Drew

He had been reading and rereading that letter since he had gotten the damn thing. It was the first time his old friend had tried talking to him since 30 years ago, when he had gotten drafted. Even the old picture he had sent about his success in the industry? Not even a thank you. Did the man even get the thing? He had doubted it, but who knows? Drew was always full of surprises.
Henry rolled his eyes a bit. He could worry about the old man when he found him. And to find him, that would require opening the door. And so he did.
It gave a hideous creak that shocked the air around him as he pulled it about halfway. He was half expecting Drew to be waiting outside, but surely if he wasn't, the man was in? At least, the fact there was no dust he could see looking in was promising. Someone had been here, though it might've just been inspectors so they could demolish the place. A wonder it hadn't been already.
And with that, Henry stepped inside. The door shut behind him, and he had the instinct to glance around as it gave a soft click upon closing. There was nothing too much to see. A few posters littered the walls, and a projector in front of him was giving a blinding light to the wall, even facing away from him. He had to avert his gaze.
And yet, with the small details, he had finally cared to notice big ones. The lighting gave everything a beautiful bronze tinge. The shadows, they danced in such a way that nothing looked real. The entire studio had this aura and he had seen just this one room, this one small hall that lead into a gateway of possibilities. And he knew now it was time to pull away the mask of mystery and view the big picture.
"Alright Joey. Let's see if I can find what you wanted me to see."-----
(Hi guys! I know this was kinda short, but it's just an introduction. I've been working on this concept for months now, and I've finally decided to just go ahead and write it. Hope you enjoyed!)
