Lionel landed right infront of stone stares that lead to the temple. Looking at the structure Nagini become very nervous. She had no idea what would be waiting for her once she entured. She begain assending the stairs her heart beating faster and faster with every step. When she reached the doors she wasn't sure if she was ready and debated turning back. When she looked back at Lionel he gave her a reassuring nod and huffed through his nose. She smiled at his cute gesture and turned to the doors. Placing her hands on the doors and closing her eyes she shoves them open.
Nagini starts to slowly open one eye, though they both end up bolting open when she catches a glimpse of the temple interior. The interior was like something out of a wonderous dream. Spacious high ceilings, dazzling marble floors (that she swears bore gold into it), mesmerizing spiralled marble columns, and a beautifully intricate fountain. The fountain was coming from the center of a lovely decorated wall that flowed into a large but not too large pool that was probably waist deep. Then she noticed the two staircases on either side that lead to just above the cascading water. Which lead straight to two very massive almost ancient looking dragons. She took a startled step back to which the shorter of the two looked upon curiously.
It seemed like the two were having a discussion she figured. Which was mostly confirmed when the shorter dragon bowed and quickly left out the very same doors she entered through. Lionel joined her side soon after and the large ancient dragon finally brought its gaze to her. Strangely the creature didn't make her feel threatened under its gaze. She felt almost comforted by its beautiful eyes. Then she heard it, a voice, though no one spoke.
"What is your name little one?"
Nagini was startled and wasn't sure what was happening.
"Nagini my name's Nagini Fore."
"Welcome to the Temple of Wings. This is where dragon born come when they turn of age."
"What is it for?"
"The Dragons Blood ritual is preformed here in this water when a dragon born turns 5 they are brought here to be blessed with the blood of the elder dragons and given the ability to communicate with all dragons."
"Blessed with actual blood?"
With a small laugh, "Yes with our actual blood we release a few drops into the water that then flows into the body of the dragon born."
"Why have I been brought here?"
"Well it seems Lionel thinks your are of our kind and the simplest way to test this is to have you partake in the Dragons Blood ritual."
She froze instantly not sure how she should react. What if she wasn't a dragon born, what would they do to her? She started to fear the worst. Wishing she was still at home with her father. Wondering if they killed her would he ever find out or be left to never know what happened to his daughter. She was missing him severely and was wondering when or if she would see him again.
The dragon approached the edge of the landing and nodded for her to step into the water. Nagini slowly started toward the pool, not sure if she should try the ritual or turn and run. She glanced back at Lionel hoping for some curage, which he in fact gave with a cute little huff. As she started the put her foot in the water she seemed to experience a rush of energy. Unsure if it was adrenaline mixed with nerves, or the pool.
Nagini continued until she was in the center of the pool, waist deep, and looked up to the dragon in front of her. He proceded to lift his arm to his mouth and give it a small bite, which in turn caused a tiny river of blood to flow down it. He positioned his arm so it was above the pool and aloud three drops to plop into the water. She watched worried that nothing would happen, but started to become wide eyed as it stirred. The blood was bigining to flow across the waters surface heading towards her, once it finally did reach her it encircled her. Then all at once it rushed to her seeming to disappear into her skin. Nagini could feel something strange in her skin, her body, even her mind. Her vision started to be blurred with what seemed to be memories of such beautiful creatures.
Then it stopped. The feeling, the world, or her breathing she couldn't tell. Everything just seemed to come to a halt, though she wasn't afraid she was more at peace. It all went black, she was in a void of nothing but herself. She didn't know what to do or where to go, but something told her to go. So, she did, she walked and wandered into that endless void and welcomed what ever would come.
