They landed in front of a small cottage in a field surrounded by trees. Beyond the forest, before they landed Nagini noticed a strange building that she guessed to be a temple of sorts. When they landed she noticed a women exit the cottage and approach them. Nagini didn't recognize her but still felt like she could trust her. Maybe she was crazy for thinking so, but only one way to find out.

"Welcome, my name is Lona I wonder as to why Lionel brought you here," the lady seemed to be thinking out loud.

"I have no idea. I don't even know where here is," Nagini said cautiously.

"Your not from here?" Lona questioned.

"No I'm from Arrose," she answered.

"Lionel why on earth would you bring an outsider here?" Lona questioned the dragon sternly.

As Nagini watched the lady it seemed as though she was listening to something. She would nod her head here and there and look from the dragon to Nagini. Nagini wandered if maybe the lady was psychic or something.

"Well I'm sure it was quite a journey for you. Why don't you come inside and ill make us some tea. Lionel perhaps you should inform the elders." Lona said as she turned and entered her cottage.

Nagini followed her in as the dragon took off again. Toward the structure she noted. "Where is this place? I know its quite far from Arrose, we passed many lands on the way here." She inquired.

"Well to put it simply you are in the land of the dragons," Lona answered as she dropped petals into the kettle.

"but I thought it was hidden to anyone but dragons? Why am I here? Why are you here?" she questioned confused.

"There are many creatures that live amongst the dragons. We happen to be one of them, " the kettle whistled and Lona grabbed it, two small cups, and brought them to the table where Nagini sat while she poured she continued to listen.

"We?"

"Yes we, the dragon born. People who are born with a connection, a bond with dragons. Every person in this land is a dragon born, though a dragon born being raised outside the land of dragons is highly unheard of. In fact its never happened," Lona explained.

"Raised outside... Your not talking about me are you? Your saying I'm a dragon born?..... I don't believe that. "

"Well it has to be true or Lionel would not have brought you here. He said he was very certain that you were."

"He said? He didn't say anything, he never spoke."

"He spoke to me. He's my bonded dragon I can hear him like its my own thoughts others can not. Only the person bonded to the dragon can hear them."

Nagini closed her eyes and leaned her head on her palms as she tried to understand what was happening. She couldn't believe this lady was telling her she was a dragon born when she didn't even know her. How could her dragon be so sure that Nagini was a dragon born? Was there signs? How could she have never known that she was so different?

Nagini sat listening to her heartbeat for a moment. Trying to sort through all of this information was a struggle. She had no idea if she could even believe Lona. What if she was some crazed lady that happened upon a dragon egg many years ago and raised it. Making up this entire story to take advantage of her. Still there wasn't anything Nagini could offer the lady if she was.

Maybe it was all a dream and she would wake up in her house. With the thunder of elven boots in the near distance. She didn't want it to be a dream though. The thought of there finally being meaning to her life brought warmth to her soul. Then she thought if this is in fact real then that ment her father had lied to her. He had lied to her for her whole life.

"What happens now?" Nagini inquired finally looking up and Lona.

"It depends on what the elders have to say. So we wait for lionel to return with there decision."

"Would the elders know anything about my mother?"

"Of course all dragon born go through a ritual when they are first able to walk. Then just after they choose their dragon. The elders are present for every ritual."

"Would they know why she left?"

"I have no idea. She might not have said anything before she left. Did she pass when you were young?

"My father told me she died shortly after my birth. I never had the chance to meet her."

"I am so terribly sorry to hear that dear. Hopefully the elders will have the answers you seek."

As they sat there the beat of wings could be heard nearing the cottage. Lona stood and ushered Nagini to fallow her. Lionel landed just as the door swung close. She watched as Lona and the dragon seemed to be having another conversation between themselves. She felt rather jealous of their bond but was hopeful to maybe have her own, if she really was a dragon born that is.

"The elders would like to meet with you dear."

"Want do they want to meet me for?"

"They just want to asses for themselves if you really are a dragon born. Nothing to worry about."

Nagini nodded and climbed up onto Lionel's back as Lona instructed. She wasn't as nervous this time to fly after the long journey they had already had earlier that same day. As Lionel rose into the air and Lona waved them off Nagini could see the temple like building. Lionel began heading straight for it and she braced herself for the fast approaching reality.
