IN WHICH, a girl is sent up to the Glade every once a year since the beginning. Morgan, the very first girl, was one of the first and original Gladers and awoke among a dozen of boys. One year later, the second girl arrived; Gwen, the fiery redhaired and sardonic girl. Second year in the Glade had passed and the third girl; Gale is sent to the Glade with no memory, but only with her name, just like the rest of the Gladers. While adjusting her new life as a Glader and making friendships and bonds, Gale is haunted by a ghostly voice and a strange face of a boy in her dreams. She believes that the boy isn't real, or is merely a figment of a long-lost old memory from her mysterious past.
It is until when a year went by, a boy that's been haunting her dreams arrives from the Box. And that boy is name is Thomas.
