Dear Yukio,

Thank you for forgiving me. I guess now it's time for my oversimplified, secretive explanation, huh? Basically, one of my... extra curricular teachers blamed me for something I could not control. He caused a few incidents to try and harm me. We wound up fighting on the roof. I only escaped by appealing to his humanity. He left. Then you came.

Thank you for coming back, Yukio. I love you.

Your Big Brother,

Rin Okumura

-----------------------------

Dear Rin,

—————-

Yukio knew Rin knew something he didn't.

—————

I know you're keeping secrets.

——————

He did also know that Rin was trying to protect him from something.

—————-

I also acknowledge that you seem to be trying to protect me.

—————-

Yukio wrote two words that he needed to say long ago.

—————-

I'm sorry.

——————

He had ignored, hurt, and left his brother.

——————

Ignoring you was uncalled for, and cruel.

——————

Yukio heard a knock on the door.

——————

Your little brother,

———————

He scrambled to finish his letter.

———————-

Yukio Okumura

———————-

Yukio went to the door, letter in hand, and opened the door to reveal the mailman.

"So you're finally responding?" The mailman asked, "Are you going to apologize to your relative?"

"He's my twin brother. How did you know we were related?" Yukio asked warily.

"Your last names are the same." The mailman explained, "And... yikes. You guys must've had some fight."

"Yeah." Yukio nodded, "It was pretty bad, but also pretty stupid on my part. So yes, this is my apology letter." Yukio held out the letter.

"It's protocol that I tell you to put that in the mailbox." The mailman said, and Yukio sighed, "But, it's my humanity that makes me take this, and mail it to your brother as soon as possible. Also...." the mailman grinned, took Yukio's letter, and handed Yukio another letter from Rin.

Yukio smiled at him, "Thank you, sir." The mailman nodded, smiling before walking out the door.

---------------

Rin heard a knock on his door, and immediately limped to the door. The mailman stood there, looking around.

"Geez." The mailman said, looking around the building, "What'd you do to wind up here?"

"Late application." Rin said monotonously. Then the mailman handed him a letter. Rin looked at him weirdly, before looking at the sender. His eyes widened, and a smile crossed his face. His mask fell, and he hugged the mailman who just chuckled after getting over the shock, "Thank you. Yukio replied! He actually replied!"

"How did you hurt your ankle?" The mailman asked with a smile.

"Oh.., it's a long story, but Yukio fixed it. I... I still didn't think he would reply though!" Rin grinned, "Thank you sir."

"Oh, I didn't do anything." The mailman said with a twinkle in his eye, "I'm just the friendly mailman." With that, the mailman left, a smile on his face. Those kids were sweet, and warmed the mailman's heart, and he knew everything would turn out alright between them.

Rin smiled brightly at his back, before retreating into the dorms.
