Sophie's POV
It's been a few weeks since Harry and his family moved next door and I've got to say, I actually like that he moved. At first I was sad that Elli moved and I kind of feel embarrassed that I thought I wasn't going to have any friends, but I guess you can say that Harry is a really good friend. He's funny, he's such a dork, and he's really comforting.
I know I just met him but I feel like I can really trust him and I can tell him anything.
It was Saturday and Harry and I planned to have the best weekend ever! Well, we say that every week but something always comes up and he either has to go somewhere with his mum or I have stuff to do too and our weekend plan never works out.
"Hey mum, I'm going over to Harry's place to play." I tell my mum. It feels kind of weird saying 'Harry's place' instead of 'Elli's place' but I'm getting used to it.
"You two have been spending quite a lot of time together," My mum says smirking at me. "Anything going on between you two." She finishes laughing.
"Ewwww! Harry and I are just friends, he's really gross too and I don't like him!" I say offensively, like cooties much.
"Alright sweetie." My mum says not believing what I said. I roll my eyes and exit the house. I walk over to Harry's house. He was sitting on his front steps, probably waiting for me or he just wanted some fresh air. He walks towards me and then opens the front door of his house.
"Hi Sophie." Mrs. Styles says as I walk into her house.
"Good Morning!" I say sweetly.
"Sophie's here?" I hear someone say and then Gemma walks over to me.
"Hey Sophie, you wanna come to my room and we can play dolls or something." She says with her eyes beaming.
"She's supposed to play with me and then we we're going to do our homework together." Harry says crossing his arms.
"No, she likes me better than you, so she's going to play with me!" Gemma says pulling my arm.
I did come over to play with Harry but I don't mind playing with Gemma. But I guess Harry and I won't get to have our best weekend together.
"Fine!" Harry says storming up the stairs.
I do feel bad, but I'd rather hurt Harry's feelings than Gemma's, because I know Harry will get over it.
I go to Gemma's room and it's nicely decorated. All the furniture are coordinating with the colour of the walls and everything is really organized. She takes out her doll house and a few dolls and we play for a while until I get kind of bored.
"Hey Gemma, can I go play with Harry now?" I ask kind of hesitantly because I don't want to hurt her feelings by choosing Harry over her.
"What's so good about Harry? He's really annoying and disgusting and boring." She replies dully.
"Well he's not that boring and I do enjoy his company, not that I don't enjoy yours, it's just I wanted to hang with him today, but I could still play with you if you want." I say.
I hear Gemma sigh and then she replies, "It's okay, I don't mind that you want to play with Harry, I just want to get to know you better and for the time that I've known you for, you're like a little sister to me." She says looking straight in my eyes. I smiled because I've only known Gemma for a few weeks and she already thinks of me as a sister.
"Really?" I ask sweetly.
"Yeah, you're really nice and fun and Harry's really lucky to have you as a friend." She says.
"I'm your friend too, you know." I say reassuring her.
She laughs, "I know, now go play with Harry, he's probably dying of boredom. I walk out of Gemma's room and into Harry's.
"What do you want? You trader!" Harry's yells.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Oh, don't act all innocent and cute, you chose Gemma over me and today we were supposed to have to best weekend ever!" Harry says annoyed.
Wait, wait, wait... Harry thinks I'm cute?
"I'm sorry," I say pleadingly. "I didn't want to hurt Gemma's feelings so I chose her, but I thought you weren't going to get mad, but I guess you are and you probably don't want to play with me and I should leave now." I say as I walk towards the door.
"No! Wait, don't go! I'm not mad anymore. I still want to play with you." He says.
"But I though you were-"
"I'm not mad at you, now can we have the best weekend ever?" he says, and adds a pout to the ending, A POUT.
I simply nod. We started off with our homework. Harry kept bugging me cause he was stuck on the simplist math question. An addition question.
"Sophie, Sophie... SOPHIE!"
"WHAT HAROLD!" I sreamed back. Boys can be so annoying at times. No lies.
"Okay you're listining. What's the answer to this question?" He points at the the last question - Find the picture that represents 3 + 2. "I don't know how to explain this to you, Harry."
"But there's so many options." He whines. "Did you answer this question?" He asks.
"Yes. I'm done, now hurry up and we can do something else, I'm bored of watching you struggle with this." I say. "Then let me copy you." Harry says grabbing my paper from my hand.
"Jerk." I quietly mutter.
"Did you say something?"
"Not at all."
