The night was cold and stiffening. The roar of the stormy rain didn't soothe him to sleep, instead the noise stirred up a gloomy feeling in his chest.

For an hour now, he had been trying to think of something other than the blind man. But as bees are attracted to honey, so did his thoughts flowed straight to Maxime Lacroix.

He wished against all odds, he could steal the boy away from the mansion and take him somewhere far away.

He has thought about Maxime for months but now that he was finally close to being with him, everything he had imagined, seemed so vague. He didn't remember everything too well.

Maxime was in more deep trouble than he had imagined. He really needed strength to pull the boy out of it. What a world.

Samuel feared for both his and Maxime's life. Joelene was only saying funny things about dying. He knew she will be devastated if anything happened to her only brother. They killed Rochelle for Pete's sake.

Damn! When he watched the evening news, he not only imagined waking up to see the breaking news of Maxime Lacroix death, the faces of the two most important people in the family - Emile and Antoine. There was an aunt somewhere in the middle but Samuel had never met her. He didn't know her name. Could she be the one or was there someone else pulling the strings?

Just before he retired to bed, he had called Joelene on her cell and informed her about the new development. He told her he was making progress but there was nothing suspicious to report so far.

Except for the black buttoned piece of hardware installed above the window panel. Rochelle had hinted him on such a device. At first he thought it was a hoax but it was real. He had seen it on the day of the nose bleed episode.

A hidden camera was installed in Maxime Lacroix room.
