Jensen's Sister, Jared's Love

Chapter 2 - You Were My Best Friend.

Jareds POV

It was the first back on set after seeing (y/n), she was standing next to her brother, one headphone in her ear, the other hanging out. She was wearing black jeans, that were ripped, and faded in spots, a nice black t-shirt that had something to do with SPN on it. She was facing me but there was someone that was she was looking at and talking to so she hadn't noticed me yet, Jensen had noticed me though cause he smiled at me and waved me over, she looked over and smiled at me. I felt weak in the knees seeing the smile that always made my heart skip a beat, I walked over to them, the other person walked away, it was a set director. 

"Hey Jar, whats up man?" Jensen says pulling me into a bro hug. I pat his back as we pull away, I look at (y/n), she was looking at me. 

"Hey Moose." I smiled at her and hugged her as she hugged back, she pulled back. 

"Hey guys, and not much is up, I see you met one of the set directors, when's your intro scene?" I ask as we walk and talk heading to get food. 

"My intro scene is being shoot in an hour or so, you guys are sent to me by Crowley because I'm a hunter/witch that can help you guys on a hunt your on, but when you come Sam realizes that it's his old friend from Stanford." I nod my head. We grabbed our food and sat down. 

"So, Sam is your love interest?" I ask. She nods her head biting in her burrito, she chewed then looked at me, swallowing before she talked. 

"Yeah, but not for a while, so don't worry." She looks at her phone because it went off she set her burrito down and stands up saying excuse me as she walks off calling someone I look at Jensen but he simply shrugs his shoulders. 

"Probably a friend she made in the past few years she's been gone, or maybe she has a boyfriend but she hasn't said anything about a boyfriend, so if she has one, then she hasn't told me, but that would explain all the photos of her on Instagram with some guy." I felt my heart jump up into my throat at what he said. My long time crush, and best friend might have a boyfriend, oh how perfect. She comes back but her smile is gone she looks at me and Jensen. 

"You okay?" Jensen asks. 

"Yeah, sorry about that just uh personal things, but as I was saying before I was interrupted by a call. Sam doesn't become my characters love interest for a few episodes, so gives you enough time to warm up to the idea." She says, ignoring whatever phone call she just got, I nod my head, if she doesn't want to say what the phone call was about, then we won't pry. Well I won't can't say much about her brother. 

"Who was on the phone?" Jensen asks. Oh yup here we go. She looks at Jensen then at her food then at me because I was sitting on the other side of the table. 

"Jensen, I don't think she wants to talk about it with someone who she hasn't seen in 8 years around..." I say. Trying to save her, but knowing Jensen he will come up with something to pull her away. 

"Then we will go talk in private, because you came back upset and I want to know wh-" Before Jensen can even finish his sentence (y/n) is standing up and looking at Jensen then at me. 

"The person on the phone was one of my friends, her brother, my boyfriend is in the hospital because he was in a really bad car crash, we don't know if he's going to make it, and I'm not there for him, now stop asking." She grabbed her food but tossed it into the trash and headed off to her trailer. I looked at Jensen giving him a "are you serious right now?" face. He looks at me. 

"What?" He asks.

"Don't what me Jensen, she obviously didn't want to bring it up when she came back, you should've dropped it, until she came to you." He sighs and looks down.

"I just worry about my sister okay?" 

"I'm aware of this, but you just made her say it in front of someone she hasn't seen in years."

"You were her best friend! I didn't think she would've cared!" Jensen argues back. I sigh and rub my head. 

"Yes Jensen, that was 8 years ago! Things changed. She's probably talking with Kripke right now to see if she can leave to go see him." 

"But, we have to start shooting soon." Jensen says. 

"Yes, but her introduction scene isn't for a few episodes, so I'm sure Kripke will give her some days off to go back to see him." Jensen nods his head and leaves, so I'm left there sitting by myself, I hear footsteps and I glance over to see (y/n) heading back she sits down at the table across from me again. 

"Thanks for trying to make me not have to talk about it Jar, you're a really nice person, I've missed you these 8 years. I kept updated on you through Insta and Jensen, so I'm very aware of your life, I'm sorry to hear about you and Gene, I hope you two are still friends." She says. I nod my head. 

"Yeah we still talk, but not that much." She nods her head. 

"Yeah, I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry about your boyfriend, Jensen said you never told him." She rolls her eyes. 

"I did tell him, he just forgot probably, but Kripke is letting me head back to see him, so I'm catching a midnight flight back to  Ireland, which is where he was for his show that he was staring in before the accident. So I'll be back when he get's better or when he..." She doesn't finish her sentence, I knew what she meant. 

"Don't think like that, he will get better." I place my hand on top of hers she smiles at me a weak sad smile, she pats my hand and holds it gently, before she pulls it away.

"I also heard what you said to Jensen, you were and still my best friend Jar." She stands up and walks off. I watch her head off before she rounds a corner, I look down at my hand, a folded piece of paper was there, I unfolded it, inside was her number that said "Call me, I'm going to need to hear a familiar voice while I'm going through this." I looked up a bit and smiled a small smile before looking down at the piece of paper, her comment going through my head 'you were and still my best friend' . If only she knew what she meant to me.
