Statement No. 002

The personal statement of Adara Grace, Miss Anderson's classmate, suspect number one.

"I killed Maeve Anderson."

"Are you telling the truth?"

"Yes, Officer."

"Can you describe to me, the events leading to Miss Anderson's death?"

Inaudible.

"She bullied me."

"Pardon?"

"Maeve. She tormented me, for most of my life. But, Officer, you have to believe, I didn't mean to kill her. I would never."

Inaudible.

"There was a party. By Finton Hall. She was drunk. I'm not sure why, or how, but she ended up at Finton Creek."

"Carry on."

"I was going to drive her home, and -"

"You were going to drive her home?"

"Yes, Officer."

"Why help, if she bullied you?"

"I - She was alone. I couldn't leave her."

Inaudible.

"Anyway, we were walking by the bank, to get to my car, when she said something about a rumour. She'd heard about Gideon and I."

"Dr Whitaker?"

"Yes, we - we're together."

"I see."

"She was threatening to tell someone. I - I was furious."

"What did you do, Miss Grace?"

"I pushed her. It wasn't that hard, but like I said, she was drunk. Her head hit a boulder, and she stopped moving. God, you should have seen the blood. There was so much fucking blood. Too much blood."

Inaudible.

"I killed her. I killed Maeve Anderson, I don't want it to be true, but you have to believe me, It is."
