Jimin's Pov:
My time working at the Coffee shop was pretty well. I've been working here since I was 17 and it's treated me good. Sure my salary wasn't what I hoped, but that was okay. It was just enough to help with bills or clothes for my siblings.
I spent my entire day running around with papers of orders and helping Tae out with food. Saturday's were always pretty hectic, especially during lunch time; dreadfully hectic.. but I still managed.
"So how things between you and that mystery girl?" Tae commented, brushing up against my shoulder.
I blushed a little bit and turned away, rolling my eyes in the process. Taehyung was such a nuisance. I handed him a plate of croissants that were drizzled in chocolate syrup. Mm they smelt so good.
"Nothing serious, Tae. Mind your business." I chuckled, motioning him towards the kitchen door. He stopped in his tracks and turned around to look at me, placing the plate down.
"Aw cmon Jimin!! There's gotta be something going on between you two!"
He pouted and gave me puppy eyes, making me turn my head away slightly. I shushed him and hit him against his shoulder softly.
"Shut up Tae!" I whispered. "There's people around!"
I've been living with Isabelle for 3-4 weeks now. Longer than I had planned on staying. Every now and then I'd leave and go back home to grab more clothes for Anna, Noah and I but it was weird that my dad was never home each time. Did he finally decide to work and stop getting so wasted? I'll never know until I see him, but I was too afraid to after what happened last time. The next time I possibly see him, he could kill me. That thought stuck to my head constantly like glue.
I remember being there last Tuesday and seeing some discarded beer bottles and cigarettes lying around, along with the note I had written for him torn up into pieces. I must've pissed him off, or even made him sad that we had left for a while.. I'll never want to know to be honest.
My stay with Isabelle was quite interesting though. We had grown closer to her than I thought we'd be; especially me and her. We showed more affection towards each other than we had when we first met and it was extremely unusual— not that I was complaining. Isabelle seemed to have a liking towards me and would always blush if she did anything embarrassing in front of me, but it was the same way with me. Every time I'm around her, I would always feel this sense of butterflies in my stomach like I was afraid to approach her.
Anyway, I gave Taehyung a small glare, sighing gently at whether I should tell him or not. He gave me puppy dog eyes and we both busted out in laughter at the sight of his ridiculous face, soon shushing each other after.
"Ugh fine.. I'm taking her out later, only so that I can get to know her more or.. something like that." I confessed, crossing my arms afterwards.
Tae flashed his normal boxy-like smile at me, soon embracing me into a bear hug. He let go and held me from my shoulders practically jumping for joy.
"Jimin, that's great!!! Look at the man of the hour!"
He playfully punched my shoulder and grabbed the plate, making his way towards the door. He stopped and turned his head to look at me.
"Don't mess this up bro. You got this."
He winked and pushed the doors open, walking through. I sighed of relief and let out a small laugh. I cleaned up my area and washed a few dishes as my lunch was nearing its end. What a day.
