*Jimin's Pov*
-4 years later: Jimin 20, Noah 12, Anna 7~
4 years almost 5, had passed since Mom died. It's been pretty hard without her but i've learned to manage. I had to eventually get a job to help my dad around the house. The day after her death my dad told the police about my mother's death. He covered it up saying she had fell down the stairs and boy was that clever. He was smart.. beating her in all the places that seemed like she fell down the stairs. It even felt like he did push her down the stairs. Maybe that's the loud sound we heard that night.
After confirming my mom died from a hard fall, we did get help from the government like food stamps and all that jolly stuff. We still lived in the same nice house but who would've thought we needed all that help because of the loss.
I started to isolate myself from my group of friends. All 6 of the boys were extremely worried since they heard about my mom, but i'd always brush it off with stuff like "I'm okay" or "Nah, it's all good, promise." Even sometimes they'd believe it. Taehyung though, was the only one who knew I lied about it every time.
Since then he's the only one who really does text me more out of the 6 of them. He's like my best friend, and since i've been down he always tries to get me a girlfriend. He always tells me it will "help." It's so annoying.
"I'm off to work. Please be good and take care of your sister. Dad is sleeping in the room so please don't disturb him. And do your homework, both of you."
Noah and Anna nodded. I hugged them both tightly and I headed out the door to work.
I worked at a local coffee shop in the city, but most would say it was the most originally famous one. Which was true. Lots of people from outside of the state or town would come to get coffee or baked goods from hearing how great this place was.
Tae always told me to try and pick up a girl's number while serving, but I'm not the type to please the ladies like he was. Or so I thought.
Anyway, I parked my car in the employees parking spot. I sighed heavily, grabbing my phone and bag out of the passengers seat. I got out the car and closed the door, locking it after. And as I did this, I saw a girl staring at me from the other side of the parking lot.
She seemed so unfamiliar.. I've never seen her around here before. She had black hair, pale but not as pale colored skin, glasses. I couldn't see the rest of her features clearly, but she was beautiful.
I waved and smiled, expecting for her to turn and walk away; but to my surprise she did it back. It kind of warmed my heart. Kind of. She just seemed like that type of person who could make anyone feel safe. Maybe happy or even warm the minute she looked at you. We need more of that in this world.
She finally turned her head and began to walk towards the coffee shop, which made me feel the need to interact.
I quickly ran over to her and opened the door, holding it as she walked through. She stopped and looked at me. She bowed and said thank you, moving her baby hairs behind her ear. Her cheeks became flustered and she adjusted her glasses.
Her eyes were a light ocean blue, it was stunning. When I had saw them up close it reminded me of my mother in a way; and suddenly I became sad. Her eyes were blue as well, and they always had that small sparkle when she smiled.
I bowed as well and replied "you're welcome," trying to fake a smile. She walked inside and I followed after, quickly walking into the employee room.
I pushed my hair back and quickly grabbed my waiting robe. I had to serve her, there was no way I was gonna let her slip out of my hands. She looked exactly like mom.. what if this was a sign?
