Mark was reading a book on a buss with his friends, Eduardo and Jon, minding his own business when he heard a random elderly lady complaining about his friends who were just chatting together minding their own business.
"Ugh young people like them always have their noses in their phones instead of in a book, thanks to people like them this generation is hopeless."
She stated annoyed and with a voice like nails on chalkboard. As if she had the right to be a rude jerk. He couldn't help but think to himself.
'Are you kidding me right now lady? Their talking to each other, unlike you who is complaining about people who you don't even know and arent bothering you!'
Mark was never very outward about his opinion, especially when it ment confrontation with a stranger but right now he couldn't help it and wanted to give this lady a peice of his mind. No one- absolutely NO ONE says anything bad about his friends.
"Your absolutely right mam, I must know what book are you reading right now? I mean you clearly must enjoy reading if it bothers you that other people aren't."
She looked shocked as if she never expected anyone to possibly have the nerve to speak back to her before. She didn't answer simply becuase she didn't have a book she was reading, I mean lets face it she probably hasn't read a book in years.
"That's what I thought lady so instead of complaining about someone just stop to think about what YOUR doing."
She. Looked. Peeved. And that was amazing.
"Now listen here you little!"
He interrupted her.
"Mam do you mind? I'm trying to read a really good book, you should try it sometime it might give you something to do other than be a hypocrite."
His friends were laughing and she looked really mad at him. If looks could kill she would be arrested for murder. Of course instead of it ending there he said one more thing before getting off the buss
"Ugh baby boomers always haveing their noses in other peoples business instead of in a book"
Honestly the only thing he liked more then the look on her face was the sound of everyone laughing. Even Edd and his friends who he didn't even know were there all seemed amused by this random grumpy hag getting what she deserved, shame and embarrassment. Beautiful.
Don't mess with his friends. Especially if your an entitled Karen that just wants to complain about something to sound smart.
Ps. I got this idea from a reddit story I read so if it looks familiar that would be why.
