In my marching band we have this little thing we call the rain dance. It more or less looks like some sort of Indian ritual dance. We also chant "hey yah" while doing the rain dance. It's is reserved for very hot days and it usually works. We will do it at random times during rehearsal. Our director will just look at us and shake his head.
We also have the anti-rain dance. Where we chant "yah hey" and attempt to do the dance backwards.
What made this all even better was that a couple years ago we did a show entitled "Totem" which included a movement called "Rain Dance". We had huge totem poles. So naturally we started doing the rain dance around the center totem.
