Purge: Slaughter

Chapter 5

Still I don't know what time it is. Ruben had his phone charging while we got snatched. I ask Lare,who used to be my friend but we got really far because of a chaos, what time is it.

"Eleven o clock, why in a hurry"

"Nothing you need to know"

That made him shut up. I feel special when I make people shut up. Eight more hours until the purge finishes why do I even care I'll be dead by then. We drive through roads at first but then we make a left and were out in the highway.

I've never seen the highway so clear before. Mostly they are filled with cars and trucks. Especially during the purge day. Not the purge night though. People try to get home right before the purge starts, and even sometimes the roads get traffic. Everyone gets frustrated when this happens but its just something you have to deal with.

Two years ago, the night of purge was calm. Nobody actually purged. The government actually never predicted it would have happen. The said it was the lowest purge hunt and the homeless started growing more over the year and when that happens the government sends special murders to hunt during the purge night.

We learned that at school, I know right its so awkward learning about death in school. My mom never liked it. For me it was interesting. Each year I would watch every purge year on t.v. We also learned that companies pay a lot of money just to pass the 'whats happening outside your house'. My friends and I would always make fun if that.

You just have to type on the t.v what state you want to watch. Last year I typed and searched Florida, New York, and Georgia where I live for right now. I loved the action, I guess thats why karma cane to me and my brother. I'm not sure if these purgers were sent from the government but I doubt it because last year was a wreck.

A lot of banks got robbed and they had to reinforce money. We are still driving when all of a sudden we come across some other drivers. Real people with out masks driving fast and quick when they see us. They also have innocent people with them but a little different because they have a different kind of truck.

White and small barely enough to fit 5 people. We are still driving and I see a big billboard reading ' God Bless America'. What is wrong with them, God doesn't like murder for my concern. We are not that religious but I do believe in God and I bet he never ever concluded that murder is the right thing. We take about an hour and we arrive to downtown.
