A leader, chief, commander
Someone who guides their team and helps them grow
They are understanding, see both sides of the same coin
Solving issues, rather than causing them
They are the role model, the good example
They realise their own mistakes and make up for them
Their role is guiding, not commanding
They stay behind, supporting from the bottom
lifting others, not themselves, up into the spotlight
A leader will practise what they preach
Because they know what is right
A good leader sees his team as people, not workers
because they are more important than the profit that could be made
Leadership means working with people
Creating an environment where It’s safe to express oneself
And being able to share ideas without fear
A leader can be vulnerable and open with their team
Building trust, mutual trust
Respecting everyone equally
Being a leader means, motivating others to do their best
Recognising the work they put into the team and their efforts
A good leader leads with humanity
Because a leader is human too
Leaders know themselves and their emotions.
Understanding their team and theirs
They can keep calm in a crisis
focusing on solving the issue, rather than punishing
The strongest kind are humble
Because leadership is about empowering others
And coaching others will help the leader grow as well
A leader admits to their mistakes
they keep their words and share both good and bad information
Leaders lead through change and adversity,
and they never leave their team behind
A leader does not stop his team from growing
They do not put themselves in a higher position from others
Leaders get the full story,
they try to understand and help, rather than ignoring one side
A leader does not see themselves as someone more important
They don’t think they are perfect or immune
They do not command others to follow, they walk their journey with them
A leader keeps working on himself and improving himself
Leaders don’t expect people to get everything right on their first try
Their promises and preaching’s are not just empty words
A true leader does not command machines,
he supports and works with people
Leaders are not in on it for the fame or the power
They aren’t scared of others opinions or ideas
They try others ideas out, even if they don’t like them
Leaders consider others as their equals, not their underlings
A leader ignores no one
A leader does not praise himself more than his team
A leader doesn’t lie or hide things from others
A Leader doesn't have to fake caring for others
True Leaders are honest
True Leaders are humble
True Leaders are human
---
And in the right hands,
Power can be beautiful...
