-'I don't want the world to see me,

'Cause I don't they'd understand,

When everything is meant to be broken,

I just want you to know who I am.'

Chapter Six- Ryder.

Vivian felt her willpower was being tested to the edge.

She clutched the round table tightly, and tried to concentrate on something else.

But then she inhaled the smell again, making her insides go mad with desire.

James Sinclair was smoking Cigar.

The saddest part was, Vivian knew the brand, Macanudo. And her craving for it was reaching its epitome.

Thankfully, no one seemed to notice the internal battle Vivian was fighting as they were busy discussing matters that were above Vivian’s understanding.

Just when Vivian thought she couldn’t take it anymore and was going to leave and wait outside, James announced loudly, ‘’ I believe we are done here, Gage. Let’s go Ryder.’’

No shaking hands or any of those formalities followed. James and the rest of the people picked up there pistols from the table, and they proceeded towards the gate.

James made sure Vivian stuck to his side. He had noticed how uncomfortable she had gotten when they had lit up the cigars. In a way he was testing how strong willed she was, and it didn’t please him to know that Vivian had way better self-control than him.

Gage had not accompanied them to the door, he had sat back in the room, but the bodyguards who had escorted them earlier were waiting at the door, the bodyguard who was earlier eyeing Vivian properly was trying to be more subtle, but not subtle enough. Vivian thought it was a stupid gesture from Gage’s side to put his men on duty to watch over James Sinclair, she firmly believed that if James wanted to any harm he could do it either way.

They finally stepped out in the open, and Vivian took a deep breath, trying to fill her lungs with air devoid of cigar fumes. She had been very close to loosing her cool back in the room. For reasons Vivian herself couldn’t fathom, she didn’t want James to know that she affinity for such addictive things.

‘’You can just ask, you know?’’ James murmured against Vivian’s ear.

Vivian spun towards James, current running through her whole body at the mere breath of James on her, ‘’Huh?’’ She replied, confused.

‘’I knew you wanted the cigar. Why being so brave, Miss Wade?’’

Vivian gave a cold look to James, not liking the fact that for James she was transparent, so easy to read, ‘’because I can be, Sinclair.’’ She retorted back, shutting up James for good.

‘’So you are the girl, with the sexy bedroom voice.’’ A voice got Vivian out of her James Sinclair induced trance, and she focused on the guy standing opposite her with a heartbreaking smile and tanned skin.

James silently agreed with Ryder.

Vivian just looked at Ryder with a questioning gaze, not even dignifying his words with a response, ‘’It’s nice to meet you, Miss Wade. I am Flynn Ryder.’’

‘’Likewise.’’ Vivian murmured bluntly. Not a hint of politeness in her voice. James grinned as he remembered what he perceived Vivian as was right. Vivian Wade didn’t do polite.

But, the coldness of Vivian Wade didn’t seem to effect Ryder, his charming smile stayed on his face, ‘’Oh come on! Don’t tell me I am not having any effect on you.’’ He murmured with a smirk.
