"I can't believe it!" Adrien huffed. Him and Marinette were walking out the school. They were currently in the parking lot next to the lawn.
"Believe what?" Marinette asked, looking up at the angry boy.
"Ned told Peter I liked him. Peter! I'm tired of pretending to be gay!" Adrien crosses his arms, his eyebrows furrowed.
"Did he really? That's hilarious!" Marinette exclaimed, holding back laughter.
"It's not funny! I don't like it!" Adrien said turning red, fuming with anger.
"Alright, alright. Maybe we can fix it."
"Do I have to be gay?"
"No. Not anymore. We just need to make it clear we are NOT dating." Marinette said. The walked onto the lawn and to the sidewalk.
"Phew"
"You can be narcissistic instead."
"What?! No!" Adrien whisper screamed. Marinette laughed.
"Relax, I was just kidding. Wanna grab a coffee?"
"Sure." They now we're out of school grounds. Marinette slipped across the street with Adrien trotting behind her. The coffee shop was around the block, good for high school students to go to during lunch break. They rounded a corner when Marinette's phone buzzed. She jumped from the sudden vibration and noise and quickly grabbed the phone from her pocket.
"Oh..." she said looking at the text her parents sent her.
"What is it?" Adrien asked trying to look at the phone.
"My parents need help in the bakery. It's a sudden rush of customers and they can't keep up." Her voice sounded sad.
"Then go help them." Adrien said. Marinette looked into his kind green eyes. He nodded in the bakery's direction. He looked back at Marinette. "It'll be fine, we can do this another time."
"Alright. I'm sorry, thank you." She said and backed away. She waved then turned around and sprinted across the road. Adrien chuckled under his breath. He hoped one day she'd understand he wanted to be, more, than friends.
Adrien sighed then turned back to the coffee shop. He thought of grabbing a nice coffee and or pastry, and go on a walk. It wouldn't be as fun without the clumsy adorable Marinette at his side, but it would do. He continued walking and rounded a corner. The small shop came into view. He looked around to see if any one was looking, with no one was. He ducked away into an empty alley.
"You can come out now." He whispered into his jacket. He heard some rustling and then the familiar black shape darted out of the shirt. It had cat ears, a long thin tail, three whiskers, and big green eyes. It also was very hungry for cheese, it's little nub arms crossed.
"Where are we? Where's my food? What have you done?" The Kwami said glaring, but playful.
"Relax Plagg. We're in an Alley, there's a coffee shop around the corner, and I just let Marinette go to her house." Adrien said calmly. The cat kwami circled him, sniffing for food. It was about to say something when it's eyes suddenly became startled. He flew back into the jacket without a word.
"What is it Plagg? Plagg?" Adrien stood confused as Plagg didn't answer. Then he heard a loud nose behind him.
Adrien spun around looking for a threat. Instead he saw something quite different.
It was Spider Man, except his suit was all loose hanging around him. He was sprawled in a pile of card board boxes in the back of the alley, looking at Adrien probably embarrassed. The mask of the suit wasn't connected to the neck, which was loose enough to show the top of his chest. The mask looked to large and brown hair stuck out underneath it on top of his white skin.
"Um..." Adrien stared at the hero who had just fallen into a pile of boxes.
"Don't ask, it's just hero stuff." Spider Man said quickly. He jumped to his feet, his suit hanging loosely from his body.
"Ok..?" Adrien was speechless. He just slowly and awkwardly backed around the corner of the alley and away from the scene. Once out of view from Spider Man, he sprinted away to the coffee shop.
"What was that about?" Said a small voice in Adrien's jacket.
"Honestly, I don't know. And your supposed to hide!" Adrien said and shoved Plagg's head back into the coat. "But, if Spider Man is out, doing whatever that was, it means there's probably a threat."
"Please don't." Plagg said as Adrien ran behind the coffee shop. Once out of view Adrien raised his fist. "Please. I beg you."
"Plagg,"
"No. Please. Just, no."
"Claws out!"
"Why." Plagg whined as he was sucked into the silver ring on Adriens finger. Green light flashed across the blonde boys body giving him a black cat suit. Once the transformation was complete, Chat Noir took a look at his gloved hands.
"So cool" He whispered to himself, marveling at the magic. Them he grabbed his staff and jumped onto the roof of the coffee place. He extended his baton and launched himself at a nearby building, heading back to the alley way. He threw the staff between the two buildings that made a wall for the alley, creating a bridge. He jumped onto it and looked down to see spider man still in the heap of boxes.
Spider Man pressed the spider symbol on his chest, making his suit tighten to be normal. He was standing but struggled to get out. He fell over sending more cardboard to spread out.
"Ooh, ouch." Said Chat sarcastically, startling the teen below, who threw another box.
"C-Chat Noir!" Spider Man said in shock. He looked up at the boy hanging from the silver staff above him like an acrobat.
"That's my name, sorta. What's going on?"
"I uh... what do you mean?"
"Well, I saw you out here, is something happening?"
"No. I'm just, patrolling I guess you could say. I mean, what else would I be doing?" He said, standing up again. He shot a web from his wrist and pulled himself up to Chat Noir.
"Oh I dunno, fighting crime! Battling a monster! Doing... homework?" Chat now saw the price of paper in Spider Mans hand. It looked like the math home work he was given that day, due tomorrow.
"Oh, that too. I'm just, finding a place to relax. And watch over the city."
"Mm-k? Can I... help?" Chat asked. They both jumped onto the roof top next to them, Chat grabbing his weapon.
"I guess. But I'm the one supposed to be helping YOU."
"Yeah what ever. What do you usually do right now? Like, do you take turns patrolling with the avengers?"
"What? No. They don't care. Besides, this is a way I can escape having to go home, or be social."
Sad. Chat putties him as the walkers to the edge.
"Try and keep up." Spider Man said and leaped off the building. Chat dove down with him. Spider man shot a web from his wrist and flew at another building. He raised the other and went from building to building, in a pattern like way as if flying. Chat used his baton to catch up next to him.
"Oh sh-, he can keep up!" Spider Man said in shock, almost slipping a cuss word. He began going faster but found Chat equally as fast. "What the actual duck man! How?!" Spider Man kept swinging.
Chat ran on a building wall, catching the eye of several people inside. He jumped off the end and used his baton to keep going. Spider mans fake mask eyes widened as Chat Noir moved along side him.
"What the wha?" Spider said as Chat jumped back to the side of a building. The journey suddenly became a race. Spider Man never seeming to be able to shake Chat Noir off his side.
