Dianne's pov
The Next Day
11am
I wake up with Joe beside me in bed
Our clothes scattered across me room .
I sit up and look at Joe . He's peacefully sleeping so I let him be and decided to make breakfast .
After making breakfast I get a text
P:Dianne answer me
D:Hi Pete is everything okay
P:I've been trying to call you all fucking day
D: Pete you know I work late
P:I don't care . Anyway I've got a venue for the wedding
I sighed and decided not to answer him . Even thinking of getting married to Pete made me feel ill.
I go into my bathroom and get ready.
I walk out and go into my bedroom to see Joe just waking up .
"Morning " I say .
"Hey Dianne " Joe says
"Breakfast is in the kitchen " I say
"Okay thanks I'll be out in 5" Joe says
I walk out and go into my living room . I begin to tidy up.
One hour later
Me and Joe were sat on the sofa looking at our phones .
"Dianne can I ask you something " Joe says
I put my phone down and nod
"Do you love him " Joe asks
"Who " I ask
"Pete do you love him " Joe asked
"No. I don't love him Joe ." I say
"Dianne is he abusing you " Joe asks
"Yeah he is Joe and I don't know how to leave " I say.
"I want to get you out of it." joe says
"Thank you Joe" I say.
"Why did you say yes Id you don't love him. Sorry to sound dumb and insensitive " Joe asks
"It's fine . He asked me and I stared blankly not knowing what to stay. He put the ring on my finger and began to tell everyone we were engaged . I knew I didn't want to marry him. I should have said or done something but now Joe I'm going to marry someone I don't even love " I said as I began to cry
Joe hugged me.
"Who knows about the abuse " Joe asks
"Amy and you" I say
"Amy owns the bar right "Joe asks
I nod my head .
"Listen Dianne you can come live at mine and when Pete comes back if you want to leave him . Leave him ." Joe says.
I nod
I pack up my stuff and we go to Joe's place
"Welcome to my apartment " Joe says
"Wow" I say .
Joe smiles .
Later On
"Dianne what are we " Joe asks
"Whatever you wanna be Joesph " I say
"I want you to be mine Dianne " Joe says
"But I know that can't happen "joe says sadly
"Joe I want to be with you more than you know ." I say
"Then What's stopping us apart from Pete " Joe says
"Nothing " I say
"Dianne do you wanna be my girlfriend " Joe says
"Yes joe I do " I say
Joe then kisses me
