Dianne's pov
1pm
I wake up beside Joe, his arms wrapped around my waist . I smile. This is what love is supposed to feel like. His breath against my neck . His chest pressed up against me .
I lay awake for a while just thinking .
I feel Joe waking up . I rub my eyes
Joe kisses my cheek and sits up
I smile and decide to get out of bed.
I swing my legs over the side of the bed and I walk over to the bathroom
I get ready and talk to Amy for a while . Joe makes brunch
Me and Amy end our call and I see a text from a man I didn't want to here from
Anthony
Hey D, tell me when you're meeting with the wedding planner
Dianne
Can't this week . At work everyday .
Anthony
Call me
NOW
A shiver goes down my spine .
"Joe I just need to make a call " I say
He nods
I walk outside and lock the door
Anthony calls me and I answer
D:hello
A:listen you need to meet with our planer soon because we're getting married in six months
D:Ant you know I don't have time
A: I mean it Dianne
I end the call
I walk back inside and sit by Joe
He placed his hand on mine
"He'll be gone soon " Joe whispers
"I can't keep pretending I'm going to get married to this man . I just can't " I say
"Dianne you can always end it now " Joe says
"If I do , I'm hurting a lot of people" I say
"Dianne don't worry about anyone else just think about you for a moment " Joe says
My phone began to ring
Amy
"I'll be right back " I say
6pm
At the bar
"You okay Dianne " Amy says
"Yeah " I say
"D" Amy says
"I'm fine " I say coldly
Amy steps back
"I'm sorry Ams it's just things aren't going great " I say
"Is it the wedding" Amy asks
"Amy, I've fallen in love with someone else" I blurt out
"Wait what " Amy says
I say nothing
"Who is it ?" Amy asks
"A guy who comes in here regularly. He's called Joe" I say
"I'm not in love with him anymore. Anthony hurt me in too many ways and I'll never love him like I did when I first met him " I say
"Oh Dianne what are we going to do with you " Amy said hugging me
"I can't help the fact I don't feel any love between me and him " I said
"I know you can't D, I know you can't " Amy says
