"aren't you happy for me?" you asked, staring at your boyfriend who had his back to you in the kitchen. you wanted to study abroad in italy, but seonghwa didn't like the idea of that.
"of course i'm happy for you, (y/n)! it's just that we'd barely see each other. i'm gonna be touring and we will almost never get time to ourselves. what's the point of a relationship if we won't even be able to talk to each other," seonghwa spoke, finally turning around. his eyes were clouded and yours pricked with tears at his words.
"s-so, you want to break up?" you questioned, voice barely above a whisper. seonghwa closed his eyes for a second, running his fingers through his hair.
"you know i don't want to, but i think it'd be better for the both of us,"
"you're not willing to even try?" a single tear rolled down your cheek and you saw seonghwa look as if he wanted to wipe it away, but he held his ground. "seonghwa, i stayed with you when you decided you wanted to become an idol, even though i knew how much hate i'd receive. i knew that we could do it, because i love you," your voice cracked a bit at the end, reaching up to wipe your tears.
seonghwa didn't say anything as he kept his eyes on the ground. you laughed in disbelief as your tears continued to fall. "i can't believe you," you finally said, walking out of the kitchen, slipping on your shoes and jacket at the door.
"(y/n), wait. can we just talk about this?" seonghwa spoke, following you to the door. you felt him lightly grab your wrist as to not hurt you, but you pulled away from him too quick.
"what's there to talk about, seonghwa?" you spoke weakly, faced away from him so that you couldn't see your tears. seonghwa turned you around and eyes softening before he pulled you into an unexpected hug. you were upset with him, yes, but you couldn't resist his hugs, melting into it as your tears continued to fall.
"i don't want to break up, (y/n). i was just saying stupid things in the moment and i meant none of it. i don't want to stop you from following your dreams. i just... i love you so much and i don't want to lose you," seonghwa whispered softly, pulling you impossibly closer to him. you were quiet for a moment before you pulled back, looking up at him.
"i don't want to lose you either."

sorry i've been gone for like, almost a month and a half! i've some things going on in my life and i just couldn't bring myself to write, but i'm better now, so thank you for sticking with me!
