As I left Roger there, I went and sat down on one of the seats in a less populated area of the library, though not that many people actually really bothered to go to the library.

I had barely begun to continue reading my book, before I was disturbed yet again. A fourth year boy that I recognised as one of Potter's best friends, Ron Weasley, approached me with his twin brothers, none other than Fred and George - the annoying boys that always bug me - trailing behind.

Ron's face turned red as he stuttered, "W-Will you g-go to t-t-the ballwithme?"
"Sorry about him-" Fred began. "He's practically asking every girl in the school-" continued George. "You should see what a fool he made of himself in front of Fleur-" grinned Fred. "It was embarrassing for us, but worse for ickle Ronny-kins here," George chuckled. The twins nodded feverishly.

With an amused smile, I turned back to Ron who was blushing furiously. "I'm sorry Ron, but someone's already asked me and I said yes," I replied, and then remembered to sheepishly add, "Well, kind of."

"We're terribly sorry for our very uncoordinated little brother," Fred and George spoke at the same time, before grabbing one arm each and dragging Ron away from me. "Wait!" I exclaimed. "Yes, dear y/n?" George grinned. "I have two people in mind for Harry and Ron," I smiled; the twins have told me all about what a wreck those two were. "Who?" Ron asked. "Guess," I replied. "F-Fleur?" he widened his eyes. I supressed a snort at the twins' adorable brother and shook my head. Was it even possible for two boys to have one date between them?

I whispered the two girls to Fred and George, who grinned and nodded with slight mischief while Ron complained about not knowing who his own date was. Parvati and Padma Patil were the 'perfect' dates for Harry and Ron, and I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I just wanted to see the drama.

"Frankly, I'm surprised that your brother managed to even spit out the words," I chuckled to the twins before they left. "He's been practising," they said in unison before grabbing one of each of Ron's arms and dragging him away. They left, squabbling good-naturedly.

I returned to my book, yet my mind was somewhat cloudy and I had read the same sentence over and over again, before deciding to go somewhere to clear my mind. I shut the book and slipped it back into a bag, tucking my chair in.

I went to the tree that Cedric had brought me to before, and sat down on the grass, leaning on the tree's sturdy trunk. I pulled in my knees with my arms, hugging them to my chest and resting my chin on them. I watched the water's glassy surface as the bright sunbeams hit the water's reflection and burst into a myriad of rainbow drops. I had gone there whenever I needed to think about something or to do some drawing; even though I wasn't good at it anyways in my opinion.

I tilted to my head slightly to the right, having spotted movement. A small squirrel with fur the colour of rust red had scurried onto the ground beside me in order to collect a fallen acorn. It observed me warily with it's bright dewy eyes, the acorn clasped between little paws. I slowly begun to reach out with my right hand, and it slowly, cautiously, started to come over, nose twitching. It had almost clambered to my hand-

Dry leaves crunched under an unknown person's feet, and the squirrel rushed away and scampered up the nearest tree. Disappointed, I turned, grumpily, to the culprit who had scared away the squirrel.

The person I saw had me snapping my head back to the lake, and I hoped that they had not noticed I had seen them. "Hi," the all too familiar voice that I hadn't heard in weeks broke the silence. "Hi," I replied, quietly.

I was now sitting with my legs crossed, watching as none other than Cedric sat down next to me, picking up a leaf that was beside him. He absentmindedly begun to fiddle with it. I shifted in my spot awkwardly.

"So, who are you taking to the Yule Ball?" Cedric asked awkwardly as he turned to me. "Peter," I replied; oh, why did Cedric have to choose today of all days to come here? Cedric nodded. "He's very lucky," he said quietly as he turned back to the lake, a strange look in his eyes.

I laughed; the noise sounded fake even to my own ears, and it seemed as though it wasn't my voice. "Cho is lucky too, you know," I replied. He chuckled briefly, wryly, before running a hand through his hair; a habit of his for as long as I could remember, and I smiled faintly.

"The thing is.." he begun, turning to me, "I can't fall for her."

My heart leaped and I widened my eyes. "W-What?" I stuttered. "y/n, even if I tried to get over you, I wouldn't be able to, and, frankly, I don't plan to try," he muttered. "I don't know why, but I think me liking you has put me off other girls in general. Wait. Not like. Love. I love you," he grinned, the one that never failed to make butterflies erupt.

"What?" I repeated. "Must I repeat myself again?" Cedric chuckled. "Yes," I replied, smiling. "Alright. I love you. Would you like another repeat?" Cedric laughed. "Although my mind is slow, I've registered it by now," I grinned. Cedric looked up hopefully, "Could we maybe.. not ignore each other anymore?"

"I suppose we could start over. But this doesn't mean we're getting back together," I added.

"Oh, I'll have you falling for me again in no time."

There was no need for me to tell him that I'd already fallen long ago.
