Bow in hand, I sprinted over to the storage room. As I was reaching out to open the door, it swung open, and I jumped back just fast enough to avoid being hit.

Behind the door was a wide-eyed Tyreese. He muttered a 'sorry' and continued to rush past me, Sasha right behind him.

I quickly ran after them, "where are the others?" I asked.

"Already on the bus," Tyreese called over his shoulder.

A small feeling of relief washed over me, I had thought we would be traveling on foot.

Soon, I didn't recognize any of the buildings that I ran by, we had made several turns, and gone down more alleys than I ever knew existed here.

As we came closer, the low rumble of the bus became very clear, and the three of us hopped on quickly, Tyreese taking the drivers seat with Sasha and I in the seats directly behind him. The group fell to silence as soon as the bus lurched forward.

I tried to stay still in my seat, but the quick, sharp turns around the corners of buildings made it difficult.

The bus picked up even more speed as the front gate came into sight. The wood had even started to bend and crack slightly from the pure pressure of the walkers.

"Everybody hold onto something!" Tyreese screamed heading straight for the gate.

I gripped the top of the small cushioned wall in front of me, ducked my head down, and strained myself to stay in place.

No amount of strength could have held me still because as soon as the bus broke through that door and into the herd of walkers waiting behind it, I flew backwards into my seat.

My vision blurred and blackened slightly around the edges as the bus continued to push forward bouncing and bumping into all the walkers, sending me flying all around in my seat.

I blinked my eyes a few times, and braced myself to stay in place, allowing myself to sit up. After a minute of sitting my vision returned to normal, only for me to see out the blood covered windshield and into the eyes of a large group of walkers lurching, and clawing at the bus.

Body after decayed body was crunched under the bus, but it was barely making a dent. Although the bus was still moving forward, it was quickly burning out, I was even beginning to smell smoke.

Tyreese took a sharp turn to the right where the herd was thinnest and slammed on the gas pedal in an attempt to get to the edge of the herd.

"Everyone get ready to jump off and run!" Sasha yelled out to the group.

I loaded an arrow, clipped on my release to the string, and stood up slightly in my seat, getting ready to be one of the firsts out of the door, from what I could see, Tyreese, Sasha, and I were the only ones with any weapons.

All too quickly, the bus just barely went past the edge of the herd before dying. I jumped out and down the steps, going out right after Tyreese. As soon as my feet hit the pavement, I drew my bow string back, settling on my anchor point, and looking through the peep hole at my sight pins.

Taking aim, I settled a pin on the nearest walker's head and squeezed the trigger on my release, sending the arrow to pierce the walker right between his eyes.

I knocked out a few more walkers that we're getting too close as the group piled out of the bus.

Tyreese tugged at my shoulder as I was loading another arrow, and I turned to run, leading the group away from the herd and towards the prison.

I immediately ran for the road, and once I got to it, I stopped to turn around. We could either travel along the road or through the woods, and looking back now at how far ahead I got, I decided it would be best to travel on the road, these people wouldn't be able to travel fast enough through the woods.

The group was running, but the were running slowly, the walkers were quickly catching up to them quickly.

I turned my attention back to the road ahead to see that it was still clear of everything, living or dead.

From behind me, several screams cried out, and when I whipped around, I was horrified to see an old couple, holding hands, screaming, as they were taken down by the walkers that savagely attacked them to the road.

I covered my mouth with my hand to keep myself from screaming. We are just starting, and I already got two people killed.

Sasha worked on regaining the group and pushing them towards me faster, now seeing that the herd was busy while Tyreese lead the group.

"Go!" Tyreese shouted once they were only a few yards away from me, seeing that I had frozen.

I forced myself to turn away from the hopeless couple that were now a distraction for the walkers-allowing us to escape the herd- and to move on; to keep running.

Keeping my pace at a slow jog, I lead the group down the road and towards the prison, only attracting a few stray walkers after us.
