I looked over at Tony, who was busy in the kitchen making breakfast. It had been so long ago that we had been at odds with one another, but things were different now. I guess one could say that they were back to normal.
"So, what do you want to do today, Em?" I loved it when he called me that. Even though it wasn't much shorter than my name, I enjoyed him calling me by my new nickname. "I'm not sure, but I do have an idea in mind!" I called back into the kitchen and he laughed a little. The smell of eggs and bacon filled the room, and my stomach growled. "And what would that be my beautiful?" He smiled, puting the plates on the counter of the bar. I quickly rushed over and claimed my seat next to him. "Oh, I dunno, how 'bout we go visit back in Asgard?"
He looked at me with wild eyes, and almost a look of shock on his face. "But I thought you didn't want to go back there? I mean, you told me that just the other day." I smiled at him, true, I had told him I didn't really want to go back. "Well, there are specific reasons, T." He smiled and I'd hoped that he'd had the same idea that I had. "I guess it wouldn't hurt. I mean, after all, wouldn't we need their blessings?" I nodded. Tony had asked that I stay with him, and be his forever more. I said yes to that. "Yes, but we both know that it is going to be hard. Mother Frigga isn't one to just let go of things."
Tony sighed, "And do you think it's going to be even harder when you ask or permission?" I bit my lip. It wouldn't be the whole asking for permission part that would be hard. It would be the getting out of the room alive when she goes bollistick part. "Either way, I fear that we've just open a can-o-woopass." He nodded in agreement as we stuffed our faces full of food. Maybe it would just be easier to go ahead and change my appearance to look older than I already do. It would be hard to convince her to let us be married to one another, and even harder to let her allow the both of us to live once I ask to have changed my appearance. However, if we get past all of that, it would be much easier to convince Odin to turn Tony into an immortal-mortal.
I finished up my plate and Tony took it and put it in the sink for me. "Yeah. But let's both agree not to get Thor involved in this until later... or Loki." I smiled. It would happen sooner or later. Both of my brothers would find out our plans and either decide to let it be, or kill Tony. Although, that seemed like something Loki would do.
Tony's phone blasted a new song he said was called Time of Dying by Three Days Grace. It was an interesting song, but also extremely loud for a ringtone on his phone. He picked it up, "How's it been Nick?" I shivered at the very mention of his name. Yes, i'd forgiven him for what had hapened about a month ago, but I still couldn't shake the memory off. It had been a horrible experience both ways for me.
"Cool, chiz," Tony smiled, walking back around and hugging me. "I'll see you then." I looked up at him as he set his phone back down on the counter. "What is it?" I asked, keeping my mind from wandering into his and reading his thoughts. He smiled down at me.I hated not knowing whatever the hell it was that he was thinking. "I guess we better prepare ourselves, because Nick has already set plans to send us to Asgard... TODAY."
This was crazy. That meant that we proably weren't going to live past today. "I will go pack my things then." I smiled, letting go of him and heading into my room. Mother Frigga is going to strike us dead... Oh, Odin, please don't let mother Frigga kill us both in one day...
