After many weeks in the sun, Bob finally decided to go to Earth.

He went to Earth to find out how the life of those close to him had changed.

He manipulated the light and made himself invisible.

He flew above New York City and looked for Lindy.

After a few minutes, he found her.

She was old. She was older than when she was with him.

Sentry had done something to her.

She looked younger than she should have.

They are supposed to be over 60 years old but she looked like she was in her 30s.

Did she know that she was suppose to look older? Maybe or maybe not.

The Sentry saw her among the millions of people in the city.

She was sitting in the living room and had grey hair. She was watching TV.

He wanted to see how her life was, so he went inside her mind.

He checked her memories and saw what her life without him has been.

Lindy, in this world never met Robert. That is because he never existed.

She was in love with Buzz and then they got married. After a while they had children and now grandchildren.

Sentry sucked in a breath when he saw this.

He was expecting this.

But the most surprising part was that she was happy.

Maybe she always wanted a golden Superman but she never found him, so she moved on. Maybe she realised it was a silly dream of hers and snapped back into the reality.

Seeing her being happy without him, he couldn't help but smile.

It was a bitter smile.

He turned around and went away.

He did not want to see it anymore.

After a few minutes, he found Billy Turner, the Scout. His old sidekick.

He could have done it faster but he wanted to take it easy.

Billy was a middle aged man who was running his own diner. It was similar to the original timeline.

But of course, there were differences.

He had both of his arms. He did not go through the pain of losing his arm to the Void.

Sentry smiled once more. Another bitter smile.

He checked his memories and found out that Billy was happy too. He had a good and satisfying life.

Then he gritted his teeth.

He was not angry at anyone else, but himself.

His own failures.

His failure as a man, as a hero, as a husband and as a mentor.

The Sentry just floated there.

He thought about them.

He thought about how normal and good their lives were.

Hours would pass and the sun would sit but the Sentry would not move.

After many hours, most people would go to sleep but the Sentry still floated above the city not doing anything. He was still thinking about how great their life was.
