My foot tapped impatiently against the floor as I was playing with my pencil. We were taking a pop quiz, and something else occupied my mind. I couldn't focus when I remembered his voice whispering, "It's me..Donghyuck."

Something didn't seem right as why would he whisper into the phone? He wouldn't also call me in the middle of the night when he could have just texted me. After finishing up my answers, I hid my face against my arms to think about our conversation last night.

"It's me...Donghyuck."

"Why are you whispering? But why did you call me?"

pause.

"I have a favor for you."

"And why must I listen?"

His voice got even more quieter as he seemed to be hiding his blanket covers.

"Look, I don't have much time. Meet me right after school in front of the bus stop."

"What?"

The other line went silent, indicating that Donghyuck had hung up and turned off his phone.

The last bell rang slowly, and I packed my backpack immediately. Yeji sat in front of me and whined quietly, "You promised me fooooddd."

"Sorry something urgent came up. Let's eat tomorrow.."

Her facial expression saddened but she shrugged it off and stood up with me. Jeno stopped me in my tracks and crossed his arms as he blocked the doorway. Yeji glared at him annoyingly and said, "Hey you can't lock us in here."

He completely ignored her and turned his head to look at me. Somehow, it's like he knew I was going to see Donghyuck today. "So, urgent? What could beso urgent in our princess's schedule today?"

"Stop fucking around Lee Jeno."

The words that I wanted to say were suddenly interrupted as someone approached our classroom door. It was that basketball guy, Jaemin? He crossed his arms and glared at the other angrily as Jeno turned around to face him. Jaemin looked over at me and interrupted, "Hey, we need to talk. Mind getting out of the way?"

Yeji widened her eyes, and grabbed my hand. She tugged me out of the classroom, and I was slowly getting curious on why Jaemin suddenly came to the classroom. Yeji, on the other hand, wanted to move away as far as possible. I asked quietly as we exited the hallways, "Why are we running?"

"Because if a fight breaks out, I don't want to be called in as a witness."

I waited patiently at the bus stop as Donghyuck requested. He wasn't showing up and it was already 10 minutes since I have been waiting. Before I could call him, his text appeared right away on my phone.

I'm almost there.

Replying back with an okay sign, I kept trying to figure out which direction he would be coming from. But someone suddenly tapped me on the shoulder, which caused me to jump immediately. There he was. Standing with one foot, and the other wrapped in bandages. He had crutches for help, and he covered his face with a mask and a hoodie. I gasped in horror at his changed state. Just a few days ago, he was walking and annoying the crap out of me. But now, it seemed like he was a vulnerable, lost boy who has gotten abused for breathing. I tried to clear my throat, but I didn't know how to start the conversation.

"Well instead of standing there and looking at me, buy me some food. I just got out of the hospital."

Well his sassy, rude tone hasn't been treated either. I rolled my eyes as he tried to call over a taxi. I watched as a taxi arrived, he motioned me to open the door. I scoffed as he gave a mischievous look within his eyes, and he made me help him get into the car. As much as I wanted to help, I found it really annoying when he did so.

We rode without a word to one another. I mean, he did look suspicious as the taxi driver just quietly glimpsed at us from time to time. We got out near our neighborhood, and I carefully took him inside a quiet shop that I go to eat once in a while with Jimin when he felt like going away from home.

We sat down on the booth areas, as I ordered some tea. Looking over, I saw a shadow approaching our table, and it gave me the chills. I didn't want Jeno around at all....his abusive choice of words would really kill this quiet vibe right now. But it was none other than...
