Last chance

Chapter 28

-next day-

"Ugh what happened." I asked myself and sat up. "Ow!" I screeched and laid back down. My head was throbbing and my face hurt badly. Touching my fingers along the most painful part of my face brought back memories from what happened. "Justin..." I whispered to myself. I got out of bed and headed to the kitchen to get an Advil. I popped 2 pills into my mouth a drank a cup if water. I refilled my cup and went into the living room to only find a sobbing Alana. "Alana are you okay? What is the matter?" She didn't reply. This was weird even for Alana. "I miss daddy. I miss him so much." Oh I guess she is home sick. "Well we can fly down there or have him come here. "We have to go there anyway." She said and broke into tears. "What why?" "Because we need to see him one last time." She cried more. "What!?" "HES DEAD!" And she broke out into heavy sobs and rivers of tears. My mouth fell open and I stood there unable to speak. "When?" "Monday." She barley got that out of her mouth. "I think you and Rose should be the only ones going." I said. Even if I wasn't going I wanted her to know that I didn't want to mess stuff up. Like when my family died they let me have my space. I picked her up and put her back in her room, pulled her blankets on, and shut the door and turned the lights off. I sat around for the rest of the day and that was it. I went to bed around 12 o'clock.

-next day-

I woke up to the sound of Rose urging me to get up.

"Alyssa I want to go over to the park, come on. Please." She begged. I think everyone was in a better mood know, well better than yesterday.

"Fine!" I moped and got up. I threw on a pair of denim skinny jeans with tears on both of the legs. Then I put on a plaid shirt that I got from Aeropostale.

"Are you ready yet!?" I heard Rose yell and I ran down stairs. I threw on a pair of boots and walked out the door with Rose.

"Okay. I was thinking we could hangout at the park till like 1:00 then we can head home." She said sending a smile my way. I didn't know what was up with her, but I didn't care. We walked down to the park and a memory came to my head. This is where I got rapped. I had recognized the surroundings. Shivers ran down my spine as we walked by that bar.

"You ok?" Rose asked. I nodded my head and kept walking. We stayed there for about two hours and left. It was around one o'clock when we got back.

"Oh snap I forgot my keys, can you use yours?" Rose asked while face palming herself.

"Sure thing." I said and got my key out. I opened the door and walked inside and it was dark inside. I turned on the main light then....

"SURPRISE!!!" A lot of people jumped out of no where. I looked around and saw Harry, Alana, Zayn, Liam, Louis, Niall, Alysia, Shaylynn, Gavin, Justin and some more people. Music started playing loud and people started talking to each other.

"Happy birthday Alyssa!" Alana said jumping on me. I looked around and saw a lot of beach themed items like; beach balls, palm trees, dolphins, a tekkie bar, and people in hola skirts. Alana let go of me and I was now wearing a hola skirt. I chuckled at her and gave her a hug. I gave everyone a hug and thanked them for coming. I went back Harry and the gang and gave them each a hug.

"Thanks for coming Harry." I whispered in his ear and he hugged me tighter.

"Any time." He said back. We all hung around until Niall called out....

"Cake time!!" A smile grew on my face. We walked into the kitchen and saw 2 cakes. One was the same theme and the other was normal.

"1,2,3 happy birthday to you." They started and I looked over at Gavin who was propped against the wall.
