Chapter 9

*alyssas pov*

I got on Harry's shoulders and he held on to my knees to keep me balanced. 

" first to 5 wins, are you ready 1,2,3 go!" Niall shouted and Harry began to move forward.  

I grabbed Rosie's hands and tried to push her off, but Liam kept her balance until I gave an extra push and Liam and rose fell backwards. I chuckled and she got back on. Harry gave me a high five and walk towards them agin. 

This time rose went for my arms because she knew what was under the bracelets. 

" OW ROSE STOP!" I begged her, but she push me off of Harry's shoulders. I made contact with the water and my cuts stung against the chemicals, I grabbed my arm and came back up. I was a little pissed that she did that, but hey I have a few tricks up my sleeve if she's gonna play like that. 

"Ok let's go," I told Harry as I got on his shoulders. 

"3.2.1 go!" Niall yelled agin. I grabbed Rosie's hands, but let go and poked the sides of her stomach and then pushed her off Liam. She made contact with the water and came back up a few seconds after. I began to laugh as she got on Liam's shoulders agin.  

It was 2 to 1 and I was winning. Rose came after me and pushed my shoulders and I lost my balance, but Harry kept me up. I pushed her but Liam kept her up as well. We came closer and she tickled my stomach and pushed me off. I got back up and push Rosie so hard Liam fell back too.  

They got up and now it was 3 to 2 and rose wanted to win. I let her catch up and made the score even and then I pushed her off agin. Then she pulled my hair and pushed me off. It was 4 to 4 and I was ready to win. I got back on Harry's shoulders and we got close to them. Rose had a evil smirk on her face and I knew I was going to lose, but not with out a fight.  

I grabbed her hands as she grabbed mine and we started the last round I was about to push her off till she whispered " Joe is coming to get you."  

I stopped pushing her and she pushed me down. I came out from the pool and ran to the house. I ran up stairs still all wet and into my bathroom. I looked around before I sat down on the floor. I closed my eyes and tears ran down my face. Images of him appeared in my mind. His evil, scary, devil face filled my mined. Then a flashback.

* flashback*

I came out from under the bed I ran out the door, but stopped when I saw a note on my door. It said  

" Alyssa I will come for you and do what I did to your family to you. you will suffer and pay for hiding from me. I'm coming for you- joe." 

I read that over and over agin ,but then I ran to Rosie and Alana's house. I was covered in blood because blood was on the ground when I got out from under the bed. Alisa, Todd, Rosie, and Alana surrounded me and gave me a hug. I had to leave though to go to an orphanage. The people there where mean. they would hit me if I didn't do something right or burn me. I got adopted by Alysia when I was 6 and I was so happy.

*end of flashback*

I heard someone knocking on my door, so I got up and looked in the mirror and my eyes were all red. I didn't care, so I opened the door and there was Rosie. I let her in my room and listened to what she had to say.

*rosies pov*

"Joe is coming to get you," that was the only thing I could think of to get her distracted.  

I push her off of Harry, but I felt so bad because she ran out of the pool with tears rushing down her face. I told everyone to stay their and I will go talk to her. I got out of the pool and dried off. I followed the wet foot prints, but dried them off so no one would slip. It lead to her room and I knocked on the door. I heard a lock click and the door swung open. There stood an Alyssa with red eyes because of me. She let me in and waited for me to talk.  

" I'm so sorry I didn't mean that, honest. It was just me being to competitive. I'm so stupid and sorry about grabbing your cuts, are they ok." I felt so bad. 

"yea they're ok and I'm fine, he is behind bars and is in there for life. It just reminded me of this note." She said and walked over to a box labeled "special".  

She picked up a piece of paper and handed it to me. I read it and gave her a huge, showing I was truly sorry. She returned the hug and put the note back. We walked back outside but Alyssa said she needed to do something. I didn't argue with her and let her go.
