Chapter 3

* Alysia pov*

"We will be closing in 5 minutes, we will be closing in 5 minutes," I said as I had a few more customers in line. 

I worked at K-Mart and didn't make all that much, which always makes me feel like a bad parent to my three daughters. I mean I felt the worst for Alyssa because what happened to her mom. Her mom was such a good friend and a great parent, it's to bad that day happened, and poor Alyssa had to see it all right in front of her face. I am really surprised she hasn't run away from this hell we call life, we just can't get a lot because we are poor. All these thoughts filled my head as I checked out the last person in line. 

I finished up and locked the store up and walked to my car, and drove to the gas station were they where selling lotto tickets. I get one every week because of what Alyssa always said to Alana. So today I got one and decided to scratch it off in the car, so I got a quarter and scratched them all out and what was before my eyes I could not believe. I pinched my self hard and realized this wasn't a dream. it was real, no it was a dream come true! I had won the lotto and it was a lot of money that I won. All I could do was hold my excitement in until I got home. 

So after racing home I ran inside and yelled... 

"OH MY GOD YOU WILL NOT BELIVE ME BUT I JUST WON THE LOTTO!" And they were shocked.

*alanas pov*

"OMG LET ME SEE" and I took a look and mom wasn't lying.  

"Augghhhhhhhhhh" I screamed and mom said to quiet down or the neighbors would think someone was getting killed, then I looked at my mom, then at Alyssa who's happy attitude went to about to cry. My mom then quietly said shit under her breath as Alyssa ran outside.

*megans pov*  

Everyone was so happy and I was just there like ok, but then Alysia said for Alana to quiet down or the neighbors would think someone was getting killed, and Alyssa ran outside in a flash and I don't know why. We ran after Alyssa, but when Alyssa would hide it was real hard to find her. We looked every where until I heard a faint sobbing sound, and I looked up to find Alyssa up a tree, tears running down her face.

*alyssas pov*

As soon as Alysia said that to Alana I had a flash back, a horrible flashback of my family. I ran outside and went up a tree to think.

*flash back*

"JOE WHAT THE HE'LL ARE YOU DOING HERE"my mom screamed in a scared voice.  

Joe said "you are gonna pay for leaving me and now that I found you I'm gonna..."

*end of flash back*

My thoughts were interrupted by  

Megan yelling for me to come down from my spot in the tree. I jumped down regretting that, cause I landed on my bare feet sending shocks through my body causing me to fall to the ground in pain. Megan ran over to me and helped me up and I groaned in pain when I got to my feet. We went back inside and Alysia ran over to me giving me an apologetic hug.  

"It's ok" I whispered in her ear and hugged her back.

*roses pov*

I came back in to see mom giving Alyssa a hug and I ran over to mom to tell her something important.  

"mom I need to talk to you like now" I said in a worried voice and she came over to me as Alyssa went to bed and Alana went to watch a movie and Megan watch the movie with Alana. 

" ok mom I want to move. I want all of us to move somewhere new. somewhere fun like London. please because you have always wanted to move there and dad doesn't care about us anymore so he will not care." I said trying to sound confident even though I was scared as hell inside.  

" well sense the school year is over and well we just won the lotto sure, but we need to look for some houses." mom said and I felt happiness throughout my whole body.  

"We can talk more about this in the mornin, but I'm so tired from Alyssa's birthday you know" I told her. After that I said good night to everyone and headed for my room until I heard Alyssa scream, not like bloody murder but still. so I rushed in and woke her up. She look scared but I started to sing little things to calm her down. I have been told I'm a good singer, so I take pride in that. She fell back asleep and before I left her room I looked at all her posters of one direction and some little animal posters and smiled. When I got in bed I fell asleep like a baby.

*alanas pov*

We decided to watch the one direction video diaries because those never get old. I was sitting in the room with Megan, but she got a call from her mom to come home and I waved goodbye. About 30 minutes later I fell asleep on the couch. I felt my self getting carried and I opened my eyes to see my mom, man I loved her she just cared so much and that's what I love. She carried me to my room full of one direction stuff and tucked me in to bed and whispered good night. And I fell back asleep.
