Your POV

You're sitting at a table in town talking with the four girls you bumped into while fighting the Grim. You have learned that they are huntreses in training from Beacon, and that they were sent here to protect the village. You sigh and leand back, looking at each of them. "Well, it seems that its been taken care of so you can head back, right?"

The one in red... who you learned ia named Ruby nods her head. "Yeah we did our mission and reported it to Ozpin. However, he told us to see if you would come with us, he wants to meet you!" Ruby says. You think for a moment before replying, "Why would I do that? I enjoy my life how it is, helping those I happen to come across." Ruby jumps up "You would love it at beacon! I'm sure after what we told him he'll accept you, right everyone?" You look over at the others to see all but Weiss nodding, who says "Your skill was mediocre at best...you haven't been to any academy have you? You seem to just swing wildly."

"Weiss!" Ruby said, but before she could say anything else I interrupted. "You're right, I haven't, I learned everything I know from an old man named Zangetsu." Weiss scoffed before turning her head away from you "Must have not been a good teacher was-" she stops as she sees my stare. However, before it escalated any further Ruby jumps up "C'mon at least meet him?"

I sigh 'these girls are a weird bunch, especially the one in black who keeps staring at me. I guess though having a actual bed would be nice and I could always leave.' I get up "Alright, I'll go." Ruby smiles at me and leads me to the bulkhead with her team. As we finally sit down and they begin to talk amongst themselves, I look out the window with one thought. 'What did I get myself into?'

Time skip

'I've been sitting here for like 5 minutes and all he's done is stare at me, what the hell?' After we landed Team RWBY had led me to his office and were dismissed. I sigh and look up to the ceiling "So is there something you'd like to say? I didn't come here for a staring contest." I look back down to see he's leaned back in his chair and smiles before speaking. "Oh I know, I'm just trying to figure you out." I groan "Figure out what?" He chuckles "You're...lacking a aura, but from what the girls told me, you used some sort of energy attack, how?" "My aura is my sword, or at least that's what I've assumed."

He raises a eyebrow at me, seemingly suspicious. We sit in silence before he closes his eyes and sighs "Well, I can't let a promising hunter just leave so how would you like to join beacon?" I remain quiet as I think. 'After everything I've been through, do I really need this? I just wanted to protect those I could, will this help me?" I lean back and look up to the ceiling 'Maybe...just to see what its like and to see how they're trained.' I smile and look to him, "Yeah, I'll give it a shot." He smiles and grabs a scroll, sliding it to me. "This will have your dorm number which is just temporary while I see where you can fit in." I pick it up as I stand and head to the elevator.

I begin to walk to where the scroll tells me as I hear a familiar voice yell at me. I turn to see team RWBY walking over to me. Ruby smiles as she sees the scroll "So you're staying at beacon?" I rub the back of my neck and chuckle "Yeah, I figured why not."
She nods and points to a large building "We were heading to the cafeteria, would you like to come with? I mean if you're not too busy or..." "Yeah, might as well get familiar with everything."

Time skip

I was sitting next to the young leader as they were going back and forth about their first day. They seemed to forget about me for awhile before Yang looked at me "So, how long have you been on the road anyway?" "Well since I was 15, once I felt confident in my abilities." Blake looks at me surprised "What about your family?" I look down to my empty tray of food "My mom died while I was little and my dad and siblings owned a clinic, I just didnt feel like I could do much until I found my semblance." "Which is?" Asks Weiss curiously. I point to the sword on my back which confuses them. "Sooooooo...your sword?" Ruby asks, just as confused as the others. "Well yeah, the blade is apart of me" "What do you mean?" I sigh "Maybe one day I'll explain it, its kind of confusing." They slowly nod, disappointed by my answer.

They finish their food and we leave the building. I say my goodbyes and head to the dorm I was given. I slide the scroll over the lock and walk into it to find a small room with a single bed and bathroom. I set my sword against the nightstand and collapse into bed. 'Well, this was a eventful day, at least I made a few friends.' I smile as I close my eyes and pass out.
