Zack

I was back i my tent, packing my things for tomorrow's mission. I didn't know for how long I would be gone, so I picked out enough clothes for at least a few days.

Aria Katherina Fort. 16 years old. Adopted.

Unregistered.

I had never heard of it before. Everyone Bloodlined was written down in the book. No shapeshifter could escape it.

At least not for 16 years.

Leader Carter had picked up B-vibes coming off of her, and I knew a full type raven bloodlined like him wouldn't make mistakes in that matter. So who was this girl? What kind of bloodline did she have. Was she a spy from another territory?

There were many possibilities. This was after all, the first time I had a mission that was so... blank.  It was exciting to say the least.

"Zack!" someone screamed from outside the tent.

In through the opening came Drake with a panicked look. He quickly relaxed when he spotted me.

"Oh thank god. I was afraid you'd already left!" he said, walking towards me.

"The mission isn't until tomorrow, Drake." I said.

He shrugged, sitting down on my mattress.

"Alpha Gareth didn't tell me. I heard it's quite an interesting mission though."

"Yeah. An unregistered girl."

Drake raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"Wow. That's... is that even possible?" he asked, scratching the back of his head.

"I don't know. Maybe. That's what I'm going to find out."

"And what are you gonna' do if it's true?"

I opened my mouth only to close it again. I hadn't really thought that far. But of course she'd have to be turned in, but to whom all depended on her bloodline

"I need to check out the situation first before deciding that." I said and layed down another T-shirt.

"You don't know her bloodline yet?" he asked.

"Drake, I told you she's unregistered. If I knew her bloodline, there wouldn't really be much of a mission."

Drake put his hands up in the air, swaying his blond hair back.

"Jeez. I'm sorry for asking. I was just curious." he said.

I zipped my bag closed and put it down beside my mattress.

"I'm curious too." I said, looking down at the watch around my wrist. "And dinner starts in five minutes. Let's go."

Drake nodded before we left the tent.

It had stopped raining, only a few clouds left in the sky. It was too bad. I loved the rain, like most wolf bloodlined did. This girl I had to find, what kind of animal bloodline could she have, and still remain unnoticed for so many years? Either her bloodline was so weak that it barely showed any signs at all, or she was just very, very good at hiding. But I have a hard time believing that. Not for so long. Not at such a young age.

"Just on time." Harper said while gesturing us to sit opposite to her.

Her red hair was braided into a long braid that hung loosely over her right shoulder. We were in the pack cafeteria. A big hall full of wood tables and chairs where we ate dinner together at seven every afternoon. That is when Alpha Gareth always gave out the daily news and information going on in the area. Sometimes he had lots to say, sometimes it was nothing at all, but we all ate together anyway. Sort of like a symbol that you were comfortable with each other, to show that you were together as a pack. We normally let outsiders find somewhere else to be at this time. Not to be rude. Just  to get the separation clear. Call it a pack thing.
