Staying cloaked, Tyson moved right up top, above the bridge.
The massive vessel was turning, readying itself to go west.
He saw the diving orb arriving, heading towards the back of the vessel. Tyson guessed that the great door at the back would have opened for the diving orb to enter into the bowels of the Barassic itself.
Tyson needed to signal his pod down. One good thing of it being high up is that it would be fully charged from the solar rays entering it on the cloudless day. He could see no clouds, no weather threat, just a smidgen on part of the distant horizon, white cloud that was not storm cloud.
Tyson was sure his air-pod would move faster than anything this man, the director, had on board and he knew he needed to be ahead of that man's hover-pod.
A new addition to his father's flying vehicles, the air-pod had been Tyson's choice to fly out, following the kidnappers to the Barassic, having been warned from a signal within a tiny transmitter in a microchip in the back of Uni's ankle that she had gone outside the boundaries of the Cape Runaway area.
Tyson had been shown by his father how to switch the signal off when he had tracked her to the set destination which turned out to be the Barassic. It was known that this vessel was some kind of floating laboratory belonging to one of the many enemies of those creating technology for good purposes; not as weapons or for the gaining of wealth at the expense of human welfare.
A war unknown to the global public was being waged between three forces; one seeking to do great good, those who did it for the gaining of wealth, and, thirdly, those who stole hi-tech ideas and used them as weapons for the cause of gaining power, territories, wealth as well as for the pure evil of it.
It was believed that those with the most amount of capital, wealth, knowledge and power, would win.
Tyson longed to turn Uni's location chip back on but knew he should wait until he was out of range of the communication capability of the Barassic. He felt bad enough to have turned off his communication device. If Uni wanted to talk with him, she couldn't and he wouldn't know her need. If their father tried to contact him, he would find no signal.
But there was a backup plan, and that was to have been able to record everything Uni said out loud, so that he could listen to it later. It wouldn't be transmitted back to their father as before, but at least it would be redeemable later, when he could switch it back on and it could retrieve any conversation from the implants in her ears.
Selecting 'hologram' on his watch, he whispered into it, "One Peg". Pointing his watch towards the stern, he waited for a Pegacorn to rise up as if from the ocean itself, rising higher and higher, flapping its wings, which glistened from reflected sun-rays. It moved towards him before circling and returning to the back of the vessel. Guards rushed around the outer walk of the vessel, then stopped, being called back by their director who called for men with tranquillisers to come up-top.
"I want it captured, not killed," he commanded.
While attention was on the great animal, now rising above the stern, Tyson summoned his air-pod. It dropped down to where he stood and the top 'cap' flew open. With a hand on the side of it, he vaulted over the side of it into the seat, pulling on the pilot's helmet, clipping it closed by pressing an indent with one hand. This small craft could take one passenger. He intended it to be his sister, Uni.
"Hey!" a man called.
The pod had been seen, but not him. Tyson flipped a switch and the cap closed shut.
Pushing the lever right forward caused the pod to shoot straight up in the air. Bringing the lever back slowly, brought back the speed, slowing, then stopping to hover mid-air. Pressing a button spun it around. "West at a hundred k," Tyson commanded.
