Kiyoshi jumped into the water, and I heard my girlfriend screaming. The boy stayed under the water for a short time, and then came up.

"Ahh, it's cold," he laughed.

"Of course it is! You are seriously nuts," I said, while he swam to the ladder.

Kiyoshi pulled himself out.

Just looking at him having only shorts on made me feel cold even though I had a hoodie and a leather jacket on.

"Should I go again?" he asked.

Both me and my girlfriend shouted "No!" And crabbed him the his arms. We released him after he had sworn not to jump into the water again.

Kiyoshi made his way to his clothes, and took the shirt from the ground. He held it in his hands letting it swing in the chilly breeze.

"What are you waiting for? Go ahead and put it on already!" I commanded while taking a picture of him. I mean any girl would have liked the view of a shirtless boy with a great bodybuilt standing on the bridge with the sunset in the background, right?

Eventually Kiyoshi put his shirt on, but since he was still wet from the short swim he had had, the boy refused to put his hoodie on.

He laid down on the ground next to his bike and closed his eyes.

"Heey, don't sleep here, you'll catch a cold like this," I stated squatting beside him.

Kiyoshi didn't answer, so I took off my leather jacket and put it onto him.

"There. This way you should feel warmer."

The boy opened his eyes and rose his head to see what I had put on him.

"It'll get wet, y'know," he told me.

"That is the least of my worries," I answered.

It was already dark, when we finally left.

Kiyoshi and I had decided to also meet up on the next day. My girlfriend didn't want to come since she felt like she was just a fifth wheel under the carriage.

Although I was kind of worried about leaving my girlfriend alone at my place, since it was Sunday and my first babysitter was supposed to come at my place in the evening, I still decided to go to the lake.

So I hopped on my roller and drove through the chilly Autumn evening to see my best friend again.

I got there pretty early and waited for Kiyoshi on the bridge.

When the boy arrived after like five minutes, the sun had started to set already.

He had jumped by a small local store and gotten himself a burger that he ate while squatting on the bridge with me.

Being there, just the two of us, reminded me of a very similar day from an earlier year, at the time when Kiyoshi had told me that he might have a crush on me.

It was a Monday. I had my violin with me, while meeting Kiyoshi by the lake.

Even though I was wearing a blue jacket and a hoodie under it plus my school clothes, it was still really freezing. Seeing Kiyoshi wearing only a hoodie on his normal clothes, made me feel even colder. The boy himself claimed that he didn't feel chilly at all.

We were on the bridge, and y'know, just talking about some random things like normal best friends do.

Then we both saw a plane flying in the distance, leaving a white track on the beautiful sunset, but Kiyoshi didn't have his glasses on so he mistook it for a shooting star.

"Yo, look! A shooting star!" he stated with a childish look on his face.

I laughed. "It's not a shooting star, mate. It's a plane."

He was a little disappointed, saying that he hoped for it to be a shooting star, 'cause there was something he wanted to wish for.

"What would've you wished for then? Wait, let me guess... You would've wished for me to fall in love with you and start dating you, huh?" I asked jokingly.

Kiyoshi froze for a moment and then looked at me with a really surprised face.

"W-what? Was I right? Why are you silent all of a sudden?" I laughed a bit nervously.

He looked back towards the sunset, and exhaled loudly while dropping his head between the shoulders.

"Wh.... C'mon, say something!" I commanded.

He dodged it and changed the subject.

Later on, when we were going back, and reached the point, where our roads went separately, he said, "So...Do you want to know, why I was so surprised before?"

"Well duh," I answered grinning.

"It's because you guessed my wish, and on top of that, the order of your words was the exact same as the order in my head," he stated, looking straight into my eyes.

Yeah, good old times... Well I guess we had this thing going on between us but we decided to stay really good friends in the end.
