Admitting Ivar was right was something you never wanted to do, but saying he was right, to him that was even worse. He already has the satisfaction of being right with the Great Army, you didn't need to add that he was right about you getting hurt while fighting to the list. You hated that he was right. So you didn't tell him you had gotten hit in the leg with an arrow. In that moment you were sure you weren't going to make it, but Ubbe had helped you move away from the fighting. You were thankful that he helped you, but already knew that Ivar was going to freak out that you weren't careful enough.

The battle was days ago and you still hadn't seen Ivar, since you were waiting to stop limping, so it wasn't as noticeable, before you would see him. You just hoped that Hvitserk and Ubbe didn't tell him what had happened. You were sure he was going to be mad not seeing you, but you did what you thought was best. You limped over to Ubbe's tent a little ways from yours, as you got closer you heard voices but you assumed it was Hvitserk. You limped in and seen Ivar sitting, talking with Ubbe and Hvitserk about his battle plans that Ubbe didn't want any part of. He noticed you walk in and noticed your limp. You could see confusion and slight anger on his face.

"What is this?" He asked, you rolled your eyes as no one spoke knowing what was about to come. He continued on his rant "I haven't seen you in days, and the first time that i get to see you since the battle is you limping into my brothers tent like its nothing. Is this where you have been spending your time? Is this why you haven't come to see me yet? Because you've been fucking my brother?" Ubbe and your eyes got big, then you both started to laugh. Ivar got madder thinking you were laughing at him.

"You think it's so funny?" You both had stopped laughing

"No Ivar, it's just funny you thought that i would be sleeping with Ubbe, you're all like brothers to me." His face slightly softens "but I have been avoiding you and spending time with Ubbe I will admit to that." you could tell his anger was coming back so you quickly say "But it was because I didn't want you to know you were right."

" Right about what?" He shook his head not knowing what you were talking about.

"You were right about me getting hurt in battle. It's not that bad, and I owe it to Ubbe that i am standing here right now, he's the one who saved me." You could see he was relieved but was still kind of mad.

"I forgive you for ignoring me, but i still would have liked to know that you were injured. I would have liked to help you." You shake your head as he turns towards Ubbe " and thank you Ubbe for saving my best friend. I don't know what i would have done without her." Ubbe nods at Ivar

"She is like a sister to me, of course I saved her."

"Ivar I'm fine, I'm going to live. I'm going to have a nasty scar there but I'll live." He looks down

"That's not the point Y/N, I wasn't there for you when you were hurt." You scrunch your face up

"Get over it Ivar, it has already happened I am healing, everything is fine" You look over to Ubbe so he could put an end to it. But him and Hvitserk were in the middle of talking and not even listen to a thing you and Ivar were saying.

" I can't get over what could have happened to you Y/N!" he yells and that catches Ubbe and Hvitserk's attention. You shake your head at Ivar getting agitated that he wouldn't let it go.

"Well you know what Ivar, I am here and I didn't die thanks to Ubbe, I will be fine no need to worry." You turn out of the tent then proceed to limp to your tent not looking back.
