"Where'd you get this?" Credence asked his sister, Modesty, scared.
"Give it back, Credence. It's just a toy!" The door slams open to reveal Mary Lou. Her eyes moves from Modesty to Credence to the wand he was holding. She flared up, angrier than ever.
"What is this?" She asks, voice filled with venom. She holds the wand, faces the landing before turning back and snapping it into two. Modesty cowers in fear while Credence moves as if a robot, undoing his belt.
"Ma..." He pleads as fear takes over him.
"I am not your Ma! Your mother was a wicked, unnatural woman!" Modesty stands in between the two, scared but strong for her brother.
"It was mine."
"Modesty—" Mary Lou starts but the belt she was holding is suddenly whipped out of her hands by some unseen force. Mary Lou looks at her scratched hand from the sudden movement to the belt that lies like a dead snake on the ground and finally to Modesty and Credence.
"What is this?" She asks in fright despite how she tried to hide it.Modesty stares at her in defiance while Credence shakes in terror. Mary Lou moves to retrieve the belt but before she can even touch it, it slithers away from her. Mary Lou backs away, eyes glistening in fear as she looks at the children. Suddenly, a force explodes towards her, a black mass swallowing her and pushing her back the wooden beam before dropping from the balcony. The woman smashes down in a loud thump, body lifeless and donning the same scars of Senator Shaw. The dark force continues to destroy and fling itself through the church, leaving nothing but rubble in its wake.
Credence looks at the scene before him before curling up deeper. He prayed for Sybil to come and save him just like before but even he knew better than to wish for a miracle again. So instead, he touched the necklace Graves gave him life his life depended on it and maybe it did. It didn't take long before Graves Apparated in the shadows. He withdrew his wand before slowly approaching the decimated church with a face of curiosity and excitement. When he entered, he eyed the corpses in front of him. Chastity, Credence's sister, lies among the debris while Mary Lou's body lies directly in front of him. The scars and marks on her face visible under the moonlight. He turns towards the sobs and steps quickly towards Credence. He cradles his head, trying to comfort and get what he wants.
"The Obscurial, was she here? Where did she go?" Credence looks up to Graves, trauma written in his face and unable to explain what happened.
"Help me. Help me." He cried and begged.
"Didn't you tell me you had another sister?" Graves ignored his pleas and instead asked him.
"Please help me." Credence weeps as Graves placed a hand on his neck, face contorting in stress at the young boy's non-cooperative attitude.
"Where's your other sister, Credence? The little one? Where did she go?" He asked but Credence only trembles further.
"Please help me." Graves gritted his teeth and slaps Credence hard across the face. Face no longer sympathetic but vicious.
