Shimmering stardust falls on the Mushroom Kingdom once a century. That time had come again...
Mario and Meggy has just gotten ready for this second Star Festival.
Mario: Are you ready, Meggy?
Meggy: I sure am, Mario. Looks like you're ready this time. You aren't eating spaghetti.
Mario: That's right. I'll keep doing my best to make you happy, Meggy.
Meggy blushed a little and started to head out with Mario. Once they got out, they were met with a ton of applause for Meggy because she's famous for being the first Inkling to ever swim.
Mario: Okay, everyone. Settle down.
Meggy: We're only here for a date.
Everyone understood and walked away, leaving Mario and Meggy space to jump in the pipe leading to outside the castle. Once they arrived at the other side, they saw their friends waving hello to them.
SMG4: Hi, Mario and Meggy.
Tari: SMG4 and I are on a date too.
Infinite: Crystal and I are too.
Machito: And me and Clauds also.
Crystal: We're about to have a great time.
Machito's Clauds: So what are you two doing?
Meggy: We're on a date on this special event.
Mario: It's our second Star Festival date, for some reason.
SMG4: Well, let's hope there isn't any crisis coming from SMG3 and Desti this time.
Mario: Definitely.
Luna: Uncle Mario! Aunt Meggy!
Infinite and Crystal's daughter, Luna, ran over to Mario and Meggy and hugged them tightly. The couple hugged back.
Luna: I hope you two enjoy your time in the Star Festival!
Meggy: Thanks, Luna.
Mario: We're gonna make this all perfect.
They said hello to their other friends and started making their way towards the Mushroom Kingdom.
The Star Festival had just begun, Toads everywhere were celebrating...
Random Toad 1: Hey, Mario and Meggy!
Mario: Hey, Meggy, look up there!
Mario and Meggy looked up to see Star Bits falling from the sky just like the first Star Festival.
Meggy: Looks like the yummy honey-tasting Star Bits are back.
Random Toad 2: Woohoo, Star Bits!
Random Toad 3: Grab the Star Bits!
Star Bits rained down from the sky...
Mario and Meggy grabbed a few Star Bits and kept them to eat for later.
Random Toad 4: Happy Star Festival! Yay!
Meggy: Mario? Wasn't the last Star Festival 4 months ago?
Mario: Yeah, I'm thinking that too. We should ask one of the Toads.
As they were walking down the path, they noticed a grey star-shaped creature on the ground, and they looked down at it.
