Chapter 2: Yoshi Star Galaxy

Mario and Meggy were now ready to start their second galaxy adventure, as the walked over to the ship's steering wheel.

Meggy: I wonder how we control this thing?

Mario: Touch.

Mario touched the steering wheel, which caused the ship to start shaking.

Mario: Oh god, I'm sorry!

Meggy: It's okay, Mario.

The ship started firing up their motors and it started to move fast.

Mario: Yahoo!

Meggy: Woohoo!

The ship made its way towards the galaxy nearest to them.

Lubba: Like I said, this spaceship runs on energy from Power Stars. Right now, it looks like we got enough energy to go this far. We're gonna need more Power Stars! So let's do it! For your friends and my crew! Take it away, Captains!

Mario: Okie dokie!

Meggy: So what's this galaxy over there called?

Lubba: That right there is Yoshi Star Galaxy.

Mario: Yoshi? Take us there now! My legs are tired!

Lubba: Okay. Don't be too rough.

Mario and Meggy made their way to Yoshi Star Galaxy by being launched with the help of a Launch Star on the ship, and they landed on a planet. There, they saw two Yoshi eggs being guarded by a Magikoopa. They started running towards it while killing a few Piranha Plants in their way, and they arrived and faced the Magikoopa.

Meggy: Monsters who keep animals contained like you should be dead!

Mario: I'm a-gonna smash dat ass!

They beat up and defeated the Magikoopa as a team, as the barrier that the Yoshi eggs are in disappeared. They walked over to the eggs and broke them open. Two Yoshis jumped out of the eggs and were both happy and a little depressed.

Both Yoshis: I want to die.

Mario: Don't worry yourself, Meggy. All Yoshis say that.

Meggy: Okay.

They jumped on the Yoshis, and Mario felt relieved.

Mario: Mario's legs felt tired for a long time. I deserve a rest while this helpful dinosaur does the hard work.

Meggy: Yeah, I was kinda tired too. Alright, Yoshis. Lead us towards the Star!

The Yoshis started to explore the planet and defeat the enemies in their way, as they reached the end of the planet and saw a giant piece of fruit. They both aimed their tongues at it, pulled back, and ate it together, as a Launch Star appeared out of it.

Mario: Great work, Yoshis!

Yoshi 1: I want to die.

The kept exploring the galaxy left and right, and all over the place, looking for a Star. They were bouncing, eating things, defeating enemies, and going from planet to planet until they came across a big obstacle course-looking planet.

Meggy: Promise to do your best, okay, Yoshis?

Yoshi 2: Yeah, okay, sure, whatever.

Both Yoshis went through the obstacle course eating and defeating Goombas and other enemies. They went up and up the planet until they came across the Star in a piece of glass. They both broke it open and out came the Star. With the help of the Yoshis, Mario and Meggy collected the Star and celebrated.

They then returned to the galaxy for a second Star, but this time, they saw a Lakitu along with a bunch of Spinies.

Mario: What the...?

Meggy: How are we gonna defeat those things?

Mario: Maybe our Yoshis will help.

They agreed to help with the situation they're in, as they each ate a Spiny, which surprised Mario and Meggy.

Meggy: They have... sharp spikes on the outside.

Mario: How come your insides... haven't gotten punctured yet?!

Meggy: Let's not question it, Mario. It's basically logic.

Mario: Yeah, I guess that makes sense.

The Yoshis aimed the Spinies at random strong glasses that are placed all over the island, including one that contains the Launch Star, which allowed them to progress. They continued this tactic for the rest of the glasses all through the galaxy, as they kept progressing and came across one last planet in the galaxy. The clouds were starting to get dark.

Mario: What's going on here? Is god smoking up there?

Meggy: (laughs) Well, I don't know, but let's see.

They both made it up to the high platform, as an evil black cloud with eyes on it came from the sky.

Mario: What is that? What the f*ck is that?!

A villainous looking Lakitu known as King Lakitu appeared out of the cloud and started to get angry.

Meggy: So he's looking for a fight, huh?

Mario: Alright, Yoshis. Get them!

The two Yoshis did nothing except for a pose.

Both Yoshis: My body is ready!

Mario: Come on, Yoshis! Help us or no food for you!

Both Yoshis: Okay, fine!

King Lakitu started to throw Spinies at the four of them. The two Yoshis helped out by eating the Spinies, aiming them at King Lakitu, and shooting them at him. It was a piece of cake the first time, but he was too fast the other two times.

Mario: Christ, he's too fast!

Meggy: Could you maybe slow down a bit, mister giant Lakitu? Please?

Meggy did her puppy eyes on King Lakitu, and that was enough for him to stop in his tracks and saw "Aww". That gave the two Yoshis a chance to defeat Giant Lakitu easily, as the Star popped out after he got defeated.

Mario: Meggy, your strategy worked! Thank you!

Mario and Meggy ran over to each other and hugged long enough for the Yoshis to return to their eggs and disappear.

Meggy: They'll be fine. We might cross paths with them again later in this adventure.

Mario: Okay.

They jumped up and grabbed the Star, and they celebrated again. Their journey was just getting started.
