SMG4: Super Mario X Meggy Galaxy 2

Chapter 6: Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy and Beat Block Galaxy

They collected a few Stars in World 3, and they were doing pretty good. The next galaxy beside them was Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy. Once they arrived there, they got hit with another case of déjà vu with another flashback to another familiar galaxy.

*flashback*

They arrived at the galaxy, and saw a big glass ball with the star inside it.

Mario: Oh, the star is here. I'm gonna break this.

Mario got out everything he can use, including many blunt objects and a jackhammer, but none were successful in breaking the glass.

Meggy: There's gotta be a way to get the star inside.

???: If you want that star inside, you'd better listen to old Bill Board here. First, jump to get on top of the ball.

Meggy: Both of us?

Mario and Meggy carefully got up on top of the ball together, holding hands so they wouldn't fall.

Bill Board: The rules are simple. Just roll the ball to the end of the course. If anything gets in your way, smoosh it! Anyway, you'll learn more by doing it yourself. Good luck!

*flashback end*

Mario: Man, we are getting hit with so many memories and flashbacks on this adventure.

Meggy: Indeed. Same song and dance as last time, Mario?

Mario: Yep. Let's do this.

Suddenly, Bill Board from last time, which was beside the ball, started to speak again.

Bill Board: Hey, it's me, Bill Board! If you want to ride on this Star Ball, listen up!

Mario: Oh, for god's sake. We already know how to ride a ball, dummy!

Bill Board: Oh... well, then... good luck, I guess.

Meggy: Well, at least that was enough to shut him up.

Mario: Yeah, I'm pretty good at that.

*flashback to Mario's Spageti Delivery*

Mario was driving his spaghetti delivery van, annoyed, as the phone started to ring. He answered it.

Mario: WHAT THE F*CK DO YOU WANT?!

The phone then hung up.

Mario: Hello?

*flashback end*

Mario: Anyways, let's a-go!

They both jumped on the ball and started to roll it together. They put it in the hole, as they were launched to a spherical planet with giant paintbrushes sticking out of it. They saw the next hole inside a barrier with a keyhole on top.

Meggy: Looks like we need to find a key around here.

They rolled around the planet for a while until they found the key. Once they picked it up, the gate immediately opened up. They went back to where the hole is, as they got launched towards the next area, which had blocks that didn't come in until they got close to it.

Mario: Man, this is more creative than the last ball-rolling obstacle course we went through.

They rolled through the blocks, as they went to an elevator without walls, and with a few Goombas on it. They made sure not to accidentally fall off, and they succeeded. Next, they had to press 6 blue buttons with question marks on it so they can turn into yellow buttons with exclamation marks on it. The next area they moved onto looked long and wooden. They rolled the ball along it, as they noticed that saws were cutting pieces of the ground off.

Meggy: Woah. We gotta be quick.

Mario: Right.

They were fast indeed and rolled along the ground before the saws could cut it off. The next thing right in front of them was a silver Chain Chomp, looking for a challenge, as he started rolling towards them.

Mario: Mama mia!

Meggy: Let's push him off the cliff before he'll do the same thing to us!

They kept bumping into the silver Chain Chomp, as that was enough to push him off the ground. They moved towards the final hole, which was next to a long pole. They put the ball in the hole, and the Star Ball exploded, but Mario and Meggy had time to jump off the ball before it could blow them off the ground. The Star came out of the hole and went up to the top of the pole.

Mario: We did a great job!

Meggy: We sure did, Mario.

They both climbed up the pole and collected the Star. They were pretty satisfied that they just did that.

They flew back to Starship Mario, and just before they went on to the next galaxy, they saw a Hungry Luma beside them. They called him over to Starship Mario.

Lubba: Looks like you two found a Hungry Luma. Hope you've got a stack of Star Bits, 'cause those guys can EAT!

Hungry Luma: Hey, you! Yeah, you! Got any tasty Star Bits I can snack on? Soooooo hungry... Feed me delicious Star Bits! I need to chow on 1000. Then I'll TRANSFORM!

Mario and Meggy have enough Star Bits to give to the Hungry Luma.

Mario: You ready, Meggy?

Meggy: I sure am, Mario!

They shot 1000 Star Bits into the Hungry Luma's mouth.

Hungry Luma: That's the stuff! Ohh... so FULL! I think I'm about to... TRANSFOOOOORM!

The Hungry Luma spun around and went out far into space. There, he turned into a new galaxy, Beat Block Galaxy. Mario and Meggy made their way there, and once they got in, they heard a funky beat playing in the background.

Mario: Why's this music playing?

They noticed that two colours of blocks are appearing and disappearing to the beat of the music.

Meggy: It's got something to do with these blocks. They're appearing and disappearing to this beat we're hearing.

Mario: This is gonna be a tough one. We have to manage a lot here.

Meggy: Speed, timing, everything. You ready for this, Mario?

Mario: I HAVE NO IDEA!

Meggy: I would call that a yes.

Mario and Meggy started being extremely careful with the blocks appearing and disappearing. They used some unique strategies in order to get past a few areas. Sometimes they had to jump, sometimes they had to run as fast as they can, and sometimes, it's a mix of the two.

Mario: Oh, this so good it got-a Mario confused!

They managed to beat the galaxy, but only one obstacle remains. Collecting 5 Silver Stars on a pyramid of green and yellow blocks.

Meggy: Let's split up. I'll get two, while you get two.

Mario: Whoever gets the last one gets 5 dollars from the other person.

Meggy just looked at Mario with a "really?" expression.

Mario: Just kidding. I'll never let you do that, sweetie.

Meggy: Thanks, Mario.

They each got two Silver Stars while being strategic like on the rest of the galaxy, as they both arrived at the top and grabbed the final Silver Star together. All 5 of them formed a Star.

Meggy: That was so confusing.

Mario: Yeah. To the beat of the music, you had to go with one or the other. I hope we don't go through something like that again.

They grabbed the Star, as the end of World 3 was getting closer to them. They couldn't wait to get their friends back.

I was originally gonna have only Beat Block Galaxy for this chapter, but I didn't get much content out of it, so I put Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy in here too. Anyways, World 4 is tomorrow, and Supermassive Galaxy is our next stop. We are now halfway through this story! I'll see you all in the next chapter!
