i blurred downstairs and saw her pointing at damon,"i put everything together! you're not human, stefan. a vampire."

i walked behind her silently,scaring her when my arms wrapped around her waist as i whispered in her ear,"so am i."

she gasped and escaped my hold, backing away with tears in her eyes,"i-i. mia. what?"

"it's okay elena. stef isn't a bad guy, and whatever love he harbored for you is real." i shot an annoyed look at my brother,"could've been more subtle."

and then came damon. in a split second he had her against a wall by her throat,baring his fangs. i moved fast at him, ripping him off her and landed a hard blow to his jaw. his neck slammed to the left and snapped, knocking him out.

"thank you." she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

i rushed towards her, taking hold of her waist as she collapsed in my arms,"how do i look like her?"

i smirk dropped,"what?"

"katherine. how do i look like her?"

"how do you know about katherine?"i growled, my entire demeanor changing.

in reaction to seeing my vamp face come out, she shoved out of my arms and shuffled backwards onto the floor in terror,"i-i snooped in your room."

"ah, katherine. i do not know why you look like her, but i do know you're nothing like her. and that she's long gone." i stated slowly,"my first love."

"y-you're a lesbian?"she stuttered out, shoving her hands into her pockets.

i laughed,"yes elena."

i glanced down and noticed some glass sticking out of her arm. i breathed in and tried to control myself. and then i felt it. the veins beneath my eyes coming out once again and i pulled away fast, removing all physical contact with her and calming myself.

i opened my eyes when i felt a finger run below them,"you're beautiful."

"i may be beautiful elena, but im still a monster."

"i refuse to believe that."

"god you are persistent. i drink people's blood elena."i laughed slightly, my vamp face going away.

"until you drink mine i won't believe you're a monster."

i grabbed her gently by her shoulders and smiled softly before flashing my vamp face and hissing at her. she gasped and i laughed as she fell backwards,"don't do that mia!"

"come on, let's get to school."

when we got there i was immediately met with a kiss from caroline outside. it took me a minute to process but i kissed her back and smiled,"hi care. what exactly was that for?"

"i just missed you!"she beamed. her eyes were so full of love, i must've really did a number on her heart.

"you saw me this morning...."

"well it's been a while! can't i just miss my girlfriend?"

"uh caroline, look.."i glanced over at elena,who had her eyebrows raised,"i know last night was fun, and we could totally do it again! but im not looking for a relationship anytime soon..."

"oh"she frowned,"okay!"

and then she was gone.
