Atmosphere's P.O.V:

All alone, I was comfortably laying down on the couch in the main living room, just scrolling through old photos of me with my natural black hair before I had ruined it with all sorts of hair dye.

"Morning." Colby mumbled, his deep morning voice grabbing attention.

He was standing in front of me completely shirtless, goosebumps settling on top of his arms from how freezing his body was from the lack of warmth it was receiving.

"Morning." I mumbled back, my voice was cold, hoping he would get the hint to leave me alone.

I continued getting lost into my phone until I noticed in the corner of my eye that Colby was now standing right next to me.

"What are you doing?" I questioned him as he lifted up the heavy blanket that was covering me.

"Scoot over a little." He ordered and for some reason I listened to his command without even bothering to ask "why".

He laid down next to me, pulling the blanket over us again, "Gosh, this is so much better." He slightly moaned before scooting his body closer to mine.

I eyed him, "Colby, what are you doing?" I questioned him.

His fiery eyes meet mine, "I'm just playing the game, remember." He winked, causing me to roll my eyes at him.

"Whatever." I murmured, before turning my attention back to my phone.

Suddenly, he wrapped his strong arms around me, pulling my back towards his chest and nuzzling his face into the corner of my neck.

Usually, I would have said something nasty or even pushed him away, but this time I didn't. And I blame the fact that I was too comfortable in this position for that being the reason why.

"What are you looking at?" He asked as his ring hand gently glazed my right forearm.

"Old photos of me with my natural hair." I sighed as I clicked on one of my favorite photos.

"If I'm going to be honest with you, you look beautiful in any hair color." He whispered into my ear, causing my heart to flutter from his sweet compliment.

"Thanks." I smiled weakly, only because part of me didn't think he was being genuine at all.

"You should post that one." He suggested, pointing to the current photo on my phone screen.

"I was going to until you told me to." I snickered, causing him to playfully roll his eyes at me.

"Ohh, shut up." He chuckled into my skin.

An overwhelming feeling of sadness settled inside my bones, because I knew the reason we were in this position was not because we had mutual feelings for each other, but because I wanted to play a stupid game. And I think for sure I'm not going to win this game.
