After a long period of sweet kissing, I finally exited Steven's car so he could drive away.
I took out my keys, and walked up the stairs to my apartment. I unlocked the door, and gasped.
There sat Vic, glaring at the door, clearly waiting for me to arrive. Now that I had, she stood up, and crossed her arms.
"You know, usually I'm the one ignoring phone calls, Kat." She scoffed.
I sighed, biting my lip nervously.
"Sorry babes!! I swear, I was gonna call you back, I just lost track of time--"
Vic motioned towards outside with a flick of her head.
"Who was that?"
I let out a short chuckle, and met her eyes.
"Do you really wanna know??" I asked, placing my bag and keys on the table.
Vic rolled her eyes, laughing.
"NOOOO, I'm just hear to admire your decor."
I flipped her off, and motioned for her to sit down next to me on the couch.
"Okay...it was Steven Tyler." I admitted, smiling giddily despite myself.
"What happened to Chris?? He hasn't been in classes since yesterday." Vic looked at me, expecting an answer.
"Ahem...um...we broke up. He hit me." I told her, looking up at her eyes, gauging her reaction.
"THAT SON OF A BITCH. Wait til I get ahold of that little prick.." Vic muttered.
I placed my hand over-top hers.
"Don't. It's fine. I don't want to get into it with him again. Besides, I have Steven now."
Vic's eyes widened. "So you two are dating? Am I dreaming?!"
I laughed. "Trust me, babes, I asked myself that same question. But we are most definitely awake."

The next morning
I slid out of bed, and dragged myself to the bathroom.
I showered quickly, and walked to my closet.
I pulled on red jeans, a Rocky Horror lip crop top, and my pleather studded jacket, and my favorite combat boots.
What? I can't afford leather. It's fucking expensive.
I straightened my hair and bangs. In regards to makeup, I just did a simple wing with mascara.
My first class started at 10, and it was 9:40.
Ugh, I'm always running late!
I raced out to grab my purse, couple textbooks, notebook, and keys, exiting a few minutes later.
I arrived with five minutes to spare, and had to literally speedwalk to my history class.
I slid in just as Professor Hawthorne started roll call.
After a minute, he reached my name.
"Ms. Michaels, I see you're here. Way to get here early." He teased me, throwing a smile my way.
Okay, yes, my history professor is like a Greek god sent from above. Any girl would drop their panties for him in an instant if he asked, I'm sure.
I'm not one of those people.
It was clear I was one of his favorites, but the feeling was not mutual.
Honestly I thought he was a conceited, egotistical, jerk.
I tried to avoid conversation with him at all costs.
History droned on, and to my surprise, I was out the door earlier than usual.
Well, at least he understands that we don't want to sit there for longer than we need to.
I was walking out of the natural and social sciences building when I heard my name.
"Ms. Michaels!!"
I turned to find Mr. Hawthorne approaching me.
I rolled my eyes.
He smirked. "Wow, loving the warm reception."
I chuckled, "Yes?"
"I just wanted to give you the exam study guide for next class." He smiled, holding out the paper to me.
I rose an eyebrow, "Isn't the next exam two weeks from now?"
He smirked, meeting my eyes.
"I just want you to have a headstart, Katlinn. Have a good day."
I took the paper, and watched him walk away, totally confused, but not surprised.
He is such a flirt.
I turned back towards the parking lot, and searched for my car.
I instantly recognized the figure leaning against my car when I spotted it.
I smiled, and walked up to Steven, who was blocking my drivers side.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I giggled, as he kissed me hello.
"Wanted to surprise you. Are you surprised?" He smirked adorably.
"Of course. Where's your car though?"
I asked, as he circled around, and slid into the passenger seat.
"I had my son drop me off."
"When do I get to meet your kids?" I asked, starting the car.
Steven gripped my hand, and gave me his signature sexy smile.
"Whenever you want."
I bit my lip, and drove out of the parking lot.
"What are you doing tonight, Kat?" Steven asked as we sped down the highway.
"Nothing. It's your lucky day." I flirted, tossing him a teasing smile.
"Come to a party with me."
"A party, huh?" I asked, smirking.
"Yep. There will be liquor..." Steven replied, seeming to try and tempt me.
I smiled, and rubbed his thigh softly.
"I woulda came either way. But I do love my liquor."
