Three months later
Heungmin's POV 🌙
Nothing I could do would stop me from thinking about Audrey. I knew the type the others looked for - all of Dele's girlfriends looked exactly the same to me. They would all look for glamorous girls with a whole counter's worth of makeup - not that there's anything wrong with that, but Audrey was beautiful in a different way. I loved the way she was so real, I loved her vintage style. I loved her. The Ladies' matches weren't televised so I couldn't see how she was doing, and I was too tied down with training to go to the matches. I wished I could.

I was sitting on the bench in the changing room and I guess I must have been daydreaming, because when Lloris tapped me on the shoulder, he scared the life out of me. "What was that?" I asked him.
"Stop daydreaming, boy. Kevin left ages ago now."
"Yeah, mate, hilarious." I stuck two fingers up at him. He pulled a face and I heard Jan and Toby laughing behind him. Hugo sloped off and I followed him onto the field. The sun was out again and I could feel the warm rays on my skin. Dele ran over to me and put his arm over my shoulder. "Hey mate, what's up?"
"I'm alright, yeah. What about you? Bought any more stupid clothes?"
"Yeah, been on Balenciaga again." He was only half joking and we both knew it.
"How's Megan then?"
"I don't know."
"You don't know? She's your girlfriend, Del."
He looked at the floor. "Yeah, we don't chat much."
"Eric got in the way, right?"
He gave me a gentle shove with his shoulder. "Yeah, yeah, heard it all before. Anyway, who's this new girl I've been seeing you with?"
"You've noticed?"
"Yeah, mate, everyone has. She your girlfriend?"
"I don't know. We haven't talked about that yet."
"Aww, you're in love!" He could hardly contain himself.
"What?"
"Come on, it's obvious. I know love when I see it," he said, lowering his voice. Winksy came up behind him and climbed onto his back, making him jump. They both laughed, and Harry ruffled Dele's hair.
"Says the one who literally just clones his girlfriends," Harry said, shrieking with laughter.
"If I am," Dele retorted, his voice totally calm, "then you've been robbing my factory."
Harry got off Dele's back and smacked his chest. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Or just fresh off of Love Island?"
I shook my head. "You two are idiots," I said, walking away.

Audrey's POV 🍋
I woke up after my random nap four hours later, with my hair a bush, my legs covered in hardened mud, and still smelling of football match. I got in the shower and just sat on the floor of it, letting the water run over me. My wet hair fell onto my face. I was so tired that my head felt like it was stuffed with cotton wool. I was in the shower for over an hour. I decided I would go to training today even though we had the match yesterday and most of us prefer to have a rest day. Angela and Jenna told me that they would be there so I wouldn't be alone.

🌙🌙🌙
When I got there, I was happy to see that Jenna and Angela were already there, along with one of our coaches. They were all chatting and laughing together and it seemed like a nice atmosphere. We spent a while on shooting practice, which I needed to work on anyway. We stopped after half an hour for a break and I went straight for my water. Angela came and sat next to me on the bench. "Hey, did you know the lads are here?"
"They are?" I asked, trying not to sound bothered.
"Yeah, they're in the changing rooms."
"Oh," I said noncomittally.

I got back onto the field as soon as possible. I was wearing my Nike Pro shorts that showed off my legs, which was nice. I saw them spilling out of the building then. I watched them through narrowed eyes. They didn't see us so I went back to my shooting. I took a dodgy shot that bounced off the pole, and the coach came over to me and showed me a different technique. It was only a small change, but it did make a huge difference to my aiming. She was explaining something else to me when I saw Eric Dier creeping up behind Angela. He noticed me watching me and put a finger to his lips, making me smile. He tapped on her shoulders and said, "boo!" making her jump. "Eric!" Angela shouted but she was laughing.
"I'm sorry," Eric said, also laughing.
She clipped the side of his head. "How's the new stadium?"
"Oh, it's nice to be home, you know?" Then, he turned his attention to me. "So you must be Audrey?"
"Yeah," I said. It was weird talking to him in person.
"I've heard so much about you..."
"You have? From where?"
He and Angela exchanged a look. "It... doesn't matter," I could tell he was keeping a laught at bay so I decided not to press him. "Hey, you guys look lonely up here. Come train with us, yeah?"
We looked at the coach, who nodded to us. We followed Eric to where the lads were.

Their training regime was so much more intensive than ours, but that wasn't to say I didn't enjoy it. They had loads of banter so it was less serious than I expected. Best of all, I had the arm of the fittest player in the team around me. I was literally having the time of my life. Dele and Winksy kept taking the mick out of us but I didn't care.

🌙🌙🌙
"You want to come with me?" Heungmin asked me as I was walking back to my car. I smiled. I was so lucky to have him.
"Yeah, but I'll take my car and follow you."
He laughed. "Suit yourself." He pressed the button on his keys. I turned my head around to see the car, and right there, headlights flickering, was a sleek, dark Bentley convertible. He was halfway to it when I changed my mind - I mean how can you say no to that? I put my hand on my car's bonnet and apologised to it. Then, I started to pelt after him. "Wait!" I called. He stopped and smiled at me. He opened the door for me and I felt like a celebrity, luxuriating in the car's leather seats. He started up the engine and leant into me. I looked into his eyes - they were dark brown and full of intelligence. We shared a long and passionate kiss before driving away, top down.
