Primrose had never been good at transfiguration. She just didn't get it. And it was terribly frustrating because her other friends were all flying along in their classes eith easy A's but Flitwick told Primrose that if she didn't raise her grades soon, she'd be off the quidditch team.
And Primrose was not going to let that happen.
So she asked Lily Evans to help her, but as smart as the girl was her patience was far too thin. Not to mention Lily didn't like Caesar all that much, which meant she didn't like Caesar's friends either.
Primrose asked a few older Ravenclaws but the ones who probably could've helped were busy with NEWTs and OWLs.
She felt stuck, everyone was too busy and if she didn't find a tutor by the next test in transfiguration, then Flitwick would, essentially, kick her off the team and Ravenclaw would have to win without her. And Primrose was not going to let that happen. She had to find someone.
Anyone.
It was just after dinner and Primrose was mulling over other possible candidates as her tutors when she looked over to Caesar. They were both of Primrose's bed with the curtains hiding them from their roommates when Caesar dramatically closed her book.
"You alright, mate?" Primrose asked, raising an eyebrow.
Caesar bit her lip, "I think I know who should tutor you but you're not gonna like it."
"What- who?"
Caesar was silent, "Well, Sirius always helps me with my Transfiguration--"
Primrose shook her head, scoffing, "Nope. No way!"
Has Caesar ever seen Primrose and Sirius speak to each other? There was no way Sirius would ever be able to stop being an asshole and actually teach Primrose something!
"He's really good at it, Prim!! C'mon, he's got all O's in his classes and McGonagall talked to him about getting placed in advanced NEWT program next year!!"
Primrose continued shaking her head and covered her ears with her fingers. Caesar pried then away, rolling her eyes.
"He helps me with transfiguration all the time, Prim."
Pouting Primrose frowned at her friend, "But he's so... obnoxious!"
Grinning, Caesar tugged on Primrose's braid, "And you aren't?"
"I'm going to be honest with you, Caesar, I would rather die than let Sirius tutor me."
Frowning, Caesar raised an eyebrow, "He is my brother and I know you don't hate him. I promise he's really good at it, Prim."
Stubbornly, Primrose scoffed. Nothing could ever make her approach Sirius Black for help, especially not in the academic sense. Never.
"You did say anyone..."
"Anyone but him!"
Caesar was getting tired of Primrose incessant dislike of Sirius. She loved the girl to death but this was getting to be a bit much. Sirius was the best person at transfigurations that she knew and if Primrose was suspended from Quidditch they'd loose the season. And Caesar already had bets on the outcome.
There was also Caesar's bigger fear that Primrose's parents would freak out when her grades dropped and switch her to Beuxbatons, where her older sister was. And Caesar couldn't survive Hogwarts without Primrose. And Caesar definitely wasn't switching to Beauxbatons.
She'd ran through all the options of who else could tutor Primrose but no one else would do it. Mostly it was Caesar's own fault. She tended to be confrontational, sarcastic, and got into a lot of fights. There were lots of people who didn't like that about Caesar(Primrose said that was why she loved Caesar so much) and because Primrose was Caesar's best friend, many of those people decided they didn't like Primrose either.
