When Caesar gets back to the dorm, Primrose is curled up in bed and doodling in her journal. She doesn't seem to hear Caesar come in and Caesar decides that's a good reason to launch herself onto Primrose's bed.
"Oi! What the fuck?!"
Caesar giggles and Primrose throws her quill at her.
"So spill, how was the tutoring session? I've been dying all night. Evans was in detention," Caesar said, rolling her eyes.
She and Lily Evans had a long history that mostly consisted of Caesar being herself and Lily being offended. Which wasn't uncommon in Caesar's relationships with people.
Caesar was a blunt person. She had trouble not saying what was on her mind and she was smart. So when someone was wrong in class she corrected them. And yeah, that was bitchy but she was trying to work on it. She hadn't even made fun of a teacher to their face once this year!
Of course it was only November.
"Oh, well... it wasn't horrible. He got there right at four and he was being really strange though, like, I didn't have the urge to murder him once. It was... weird." Primrose chewed on her thumb nail, "You don't think that... oh never mind."
The tutoring session had gone well and Primrose had gotten more homework done with his help than she had the entire year. But he was like in teacher mode or something and didn't even make a pun when Primrose accidentally asked if he was serious.
It was so weird.
But, and she wasn't going to admit it out loud, it had been kind of nice. Just talking to him without arguing.
She wasn't an arguer. Primrose would much rather just get on with life and be the bigger person. But she couldn't be the bigger person with Sirius. He was just so annoying.
But she supposed today was proof that wasn't always true.
Primrose got to the library at 3:30 hoping to calm her nerves by reading. Please note, she was only nervous because she'd have to admit she didn't know how to do something in front of one of her least favorite people. There obviously wasn't any other reason for her anxiety.
It definitely wasn't the fact she'd be spending two hours alone with Sirius.
Nope, Primrose was totally unbothered by that. So unbothered in fact, she accidentally ripped a page of the book she was skimming when trying to turn the page.
"Ms. Hollis! If you plan on defacing school property, I suggest you do it outside of the library!"
Primrose jumped, guiltily meeting the eyes of Madam Pince, "Oh! I'm sorry, this is my book, though. I'm just a little on edge right now."
"Hmm, I suppose since it's your own copy... I'll allow you to stay, however, should I see you destroying a book again I will ask you do not return to the library."
Primrose nodded, "Of course, thank you so much, it won't happen again!"
Madam Pince made a small 'humf' sound and walked away. Primrose released a breath. She was far too anxious about this whole thing.
Maybe she should just leave altogether.
Before she had the chance to make a fool of herself in front of Sirius Black, of all people. How did it end up that he was the only person she could find to tutor her? What had Primrose done to the universe that left her with this cruel fate?
"Rosie-er sorry, Primrose, you're here early?"
Primrose froze, her racing thoughts halting to a sudden stop.
