Part 6: Strike

The next day

I always spent my time bowling. I became second best when my dad taught me. I spent everyday perfecting the perfect strike. After school, I took my friends with me to the bowling alley so we can finally relax. It was fun... Well for me at least. I bowled a perfect game. My friends watched in awe as my score was 300. I took off my gloves rested. I sighed as I looked up towards the ceiling thinking about my dad. It became night time as me and my friends left. We saw the darkness appear again. This time it was a monster that looked somewhat like a bowler. I wanted to test out my skills so I challenged it to a match. I could tell it was unbeatable but I knew I could beat it. So we went back to the bowling alley which was changed on the inside. It had a hellish look to it. Fire was everywhere, but I wasn't scared. I put on the spiked gloves my dad gave me and played. We each were neck at neck, scoring strike after strike. But in the 10th frame, I was weakened. I couldn't bowl again. He scored two strikes in the 1st two frames. I was out of breath and my arm began to hurt. But my dad came to my mind and told me to use the perfect shot technique, a technique that is hard to use for even experienced bowlers. As it made its next move, he made an error and hit 9 pins. I took my turn and stood at my lane. I closed my eyes as I emitted a forcefull wind behind the ball. I rolled it with all my might. It knocked down all pins and not just the ones in my lane but all other lanes. In all 12 lanes I knocked all 10 pins down, earning 240 points. And I got a strike in the next two frames and bowled a total of 340, exceeding the limit of a natural bowler. The monster saw this and applauded for my victory. It wasn't really evil. I liked it and saw it as my rival. It disappeared with a smile and left behind a ball with a flame design on it as a gift for its defeat. I sat down on the bench and dozed off to sleep. "Thanks dad... For helping me".
