Chapter 1: Step by Step

Narrator's P.O.V
During Dante's fight with Kina.

After getting split from Akira and Krystal, Dante tried to find a way back to them. However Kina got in the way. Dante was pushed back and points his gun at Kina, but she had vanished. Dante was kicked in the face. Kina chuckled as she kicks him.

Dante: Tch. "Dante touches the ground and two clones of him spawned. They attacked Kina. Dante spawned another clone that was Krystal and both of them attack Kina. She took care of the first clones and looks to find Krystal slashing her across the face. Dante got behind Kina and was about to attack when Kina fell into the ground. Dante quickly turns to kick Kina in the chest. She chuckles gripping her chest. The clone jumps over Krystal and was about to drop kick Kina, but she quickly slashed the clone in half. Dante dashes in front of Kina and knees her in the face. Kina was pushed back. Once she recovers, Dante slashed her across the chest before hitting her with the hilt of his sword. Kina turns and brought her sword up. Dante shifts one of his swords into a pistol and shoots Kina in the leg and brought her too one knee. Dante points it at her face. Kina quickly drops into the void. She appears away from him on a roof. Kina stares down at Dante.

Kina: He's learning... as he fights?! "Kina summoned two maces and jumps from the roof towards Dante.

Kina swings one arm and Dante sidestepped. Kina swings the other arm, but Dante blocks it and points his pistol to her chest and pulled the trigger. Kina looks at the hole in her chest. It was healing, but blood seeps out. Once it healed Kina look towards Dante.

Dante: It's over... Give up.

Kina turns and saw Hunter getting punched across the face. She grunts and takes off. Dante sighs and runs towards Akira and Krystal. Who were accompanied by a stranger.

Present day.
Three days later.

Ever since, Dante wouldn't let that fight go. Akira was right, I am adapting. Dante thought. He took it as a strong sign of his strength. Dante looks out the window and saw Elec. Training. Dante's attention was turned from the window to Krystal who enters his room.

Krystal: Hey, you okay?

Dante: Yeah, I'm fine. "He flashed a smile. Krystal does the same and walks to the window.

Krystal: What are you looking at?

Dante: Just watching Elec train.

Krystal: Hmm.

Dante: What is it? "He asked and Krystal's attention was still on Elec. Dante grew confused and waves his hand in Krystal's face. It brings her back as she shook her head.

Krystal: Huh? "When Dante turns to face Krystal. She had an expression of uncertainty.

Dante: Are you okay?

Krystal: Y-yeah, it's just.... Doesn't Elec seem... off?

Dante: Uhhhh. "Dante gets another look at Elec. He saw him sighs and his gauntlets disappear from his hands. Dante turns back to Krystal. "No, I don't. Why?

Krystal: I don't know what it is.... Like I kno-

Before Krystal could finish, Akira opens the door. They both turn to him.
